Just got this, the last book by one of the most interesting and unconventional thinkers of our time (who has sadly passed away last year). Really looking forward to reading it.

I’ve been really curious to read Graeber’s “Bullshit Jobs”.

He wrote an introduction for the edition of Kropotkin’s “Mutual Aid” I have, which was really interesting, and I’ve been meaning to read more of him since.

I haven't read Bullshit Jobs either, just some essays and Debt: The First 5000 Years.

It's refreshing to read unconventional points of view when they are presented well!

What's the best autobiography you've read? Roberto Durans is really good.

"Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" by Richard P. Feynman

"Cash" by Johnny Cash

"Never Have Your Dog Stuffed" by Alan Alda

"Failure Is Not An Option" by Gene Kranz

"Carrying The Fire" by Mike Collins

Those are the first that come to mind, but I've probably forgotten some others

Next on the agenda is the new Lee Childs - Jack Reacher book, just finishing off a re-read of D-Day.

Reacher isn’t one to back down from a fight. And when a shadowy crew raises the stakes, he won’t hesitate to teach them a lesson: When you pick a fight with Reacher, you’re better off dead.

Read this one last night from cover to cover in one sitting:

the-absolutely-true-diary-of-a-part-time

Absolutely loved it. Both funny and sad coming-of-age story of a kid growing up on a reservation. Geared towards teenagers and young adults, obviously, but it's a good read nonetheless.

Another Lee Child - Jack Reacher book just arrived from Amazon towards my collection, read this a few years back but worth another read over Xmas. :coffee:

Four people in a car, hoping to make Chicago by morning. One man driving, eyes on the road. Another man next to him, telling stories that don’t add up. A woman in the back, silent and worried. And next to her, a huge man with a broken nose, hitching a ride east to Virginia...

Read a lot of Jack Reacher, bought one once for the flight to NZ to see family and lent it to my father who then went and bought the entire series.

You have good tastes in authors and books, Lee Child and the Jack Reacher series, I have read them all and even read them again and again...

A woman’s body lies in the road. At first it looks like a tragic accident. But when Helen Grace arrives on the scene it’s clear she’s looking at a cold-blooded killing. But why would anyone target a much-loved wife and mother?

Across town, a shopkeeper is killed while his customers are left unharmed. But what lies behind the killer’s choices?
