I think if you discount how good Leeds looked in the first season back up playing Bielsaball a bit... it looks like quite a big fee for a player on a side that spent the last season battling relegation & came up recently. I think until Leeds can regularly get European football (and I think that's a long term goal rather than something that can be achieved in a season or two), selling valuable players to try to improve the squad as a whole is probably going to be the only way to grow without becoming a full on oil club. I think it's doable as long as you don't sell too many players in too short of a time - otherwise you risk getting more shit really quickly. I thought he was fantastic for England and for Leeds in his first season. In all honesty I think its the right time for Leeds to move him on. I honestly think challenging for Top 4 could be a touch optimistic considering you've lost players (granted some were shit) and not replaced, plus you've got a new coach in what is a bit of a circus. Not going over the top though, comfortable 5th-7th, just think that the likes of City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal after the latters summer spending could break away pretty early on.
