Tournament, where Fortuna Düsseldof would have taken part as well, cancelled, due to fears that violent hooligans are going to attend. :(

Violent hooligans traveling to a friendly tournament between Werder, Bielefeld and Fortuna?... Yeah nah, I don't buy that xD

Werder fans supporting their women's team instead of watching the World Cup. What a nice atmosphere! :o

First ever match at the Weserstadion for the women's team, too! Good to see so many supporters turn up. More than 15.000 tickets sold!

I just saw Arnd Zeigler posting a picture of the banner "Come On You Girls in Green". Very cool. xD Surely an experience the players will never forget.

Yep. They were already moved when the Ultras turned up to Platz 11 to support them in an important match last season, and you could hear and see how happy the players were with the support in the post-match interviews. This brings it to a completely new level now :D

Yep, fantastic! Here's a better angle/quality:

Amazing! She was born and raised in Bremen as well. What a moment that must have been for in front of that crowd. Her family was probably in the stadium too! Shame it wasn't enough to get anything out of the match.

I don't know anything about him to be honest.

That makes two of us! But his Wikipedia entry is pretty interesting xD Apparently, he's the son of one the US famous zoologists and educational children's TV shows hosts, had trials at Bayern, trained with La Masia academy and then played for Barcelona's US academy, before joining some university and then going to Germany to play for SSV Ulm's U19 last season.

He is joining our reserves, we'll have to see if he makes it to the first team in the future...

I'm so relieved Füllkrug didn't get injured... Must be disappointing to not make it past the group stage, but honestly, I personally am just glad it's over and he returns healthy 😅

Performance wise, quite impressive, even with very little playing time.

3 matches, 66 minutes in total, 2 goals, 1 assist.

And Bayern already interested.

Of course they are, they can't help it. Old habits die hard... xD

I can't believe how many talented players they've ruined. Fiete Arp, Jan Schlaudraff, Alexander Baumjohann, Jan Kirchhoff to name a few.

And the biggest one, Michaël Cuisance
