Since I expect Rangers fans to come in big numbers as well, UEFA's decision to hold the final in a 40k capacity stadium was not the most foresighted one. Would be nice to see Frankfurt win, being seated as pot 1 in next year's CL although they only finished 11th in the Buli had a satirical touch. Even if it isn't the Champions League, it's important to see the big teams from leagues that have been left behind by the big money leagues (Scotland, Portugal, Turkey, the list goes on). It's good to see the non-elite teams from the big teams like Frankfurt and West Ham involved up there as well. The worst Europa League seasons are when you get one of the big boys who messed up their Champions League group get to the Final against another reasonably big team, or a pair of teams from the same country. Eintracht Frankfurt knocked out two very strong Spanish sides in Barcelona(2nd in La Liga) and Real Betis(5th in La Liga) as well as a very strong West Ham team. Rangers on the other hand defeated Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade and Sporting Braga in the knockout rounds. While Red Star and Braga may not be top tier sides, Dortmund and RB Leipzig do fall into that category. In fact, on paper, most people would claim that Dortmund and RB Leipzig have more bigger name players in their team than Frankfurt do. However, Frankfurt, like Rangers, have shown an incredible fighting and battling spirit in this competition, which saw them pull off some incredible performances. Frankfurt have several players out injured, but the absence of two key players will really be felt, as attacking midfielder Jesper Lindstrom and defender Martin Hinteregger both recently picked up injuries. These two key players will likely be replaced respectively by Jens Petter Hauge and Almany Toure. As for Rangers, they too have several injuries, but they will be hoping that Kemar Roofe and Aaron Ramsey will be fit to at least play some part in today's final. Rangers rested almost their entire first team in their 3-1 win away to Hearts over the weekend, so their team should be well rested for today's final. Frankfurt on the other hand, played their best possible 11 this past weekend, so they might be less fresh than their opponents. Either way, this final in the heat of Seville should be a very exciting encounter, with so much at stake. Not only does the illustrious Europa League trophy await the winners, but Champions League football next season also beckons for the triumphant side. Mainly highlighting this as I remember some Chelsea fans jacking themselves off that after being humiliated in the CL by going out of the group stages as the holders as the holders, they went on to win the Europa League and started wanking about being the champions of both European cups.
