Some comeback from Hamilton.

Sainz tyres are obviously ruined at this point but his pace has been pretty poor throughout the entire race considering the Ferrari was previously cruising to victory in the hands of his team mate.

Disastrous race for Ferrari and Red Bull will take the lead of both championships. Ferrari won't even be that far ahead of Mercedes in the Constructors either.

A big let off for Max and Red Bull though after his trip into the gravel and the DRS problems.

Max wins!

Thought his anger would get the better of him earlier on in the race with the DRS issues but he's capitalised on Leclerc's unfortunately-timed DNF.

RB 1-2.

Such an odd race. All that drama through the middle and suddenly it was pretty much all resolved and the last 20 laps were a bit of a fastest lap party.

Got to hand it to Max and Red Bull really. They've built a great car and they lead both championships now that the reliability niggles and small mistakes are starting to hit Ferrari and even out the Red Bull reliability problems from the start of the year.

Decent step forward from Mercedes. George Russell is having a fantastic year and I couldn't really understand how Hamilton went from 19th and 20 seconds behind the pack to 4th place and less than 20 seconds behind his team mate. Crazy really, shame about the issues at the end.

Bottas is dominating that midfield championship. Steep learning curve for his team mate which is a shame for Alfa Romeo because they could be in the mix for 4th in the standings if they even had a Giovinazzi type who was nicking a few points here and there in the other car. McLaren hit and miss again. I'm struggling to see a way back for Daniel Ricciardo now to that group of top-level drivers because he's now been roundly beaten by Norris almost every weekend for 25-30 races. Haas obviously struggled with race pace. Mick dropped like a stone after running P6 early on. Tsunoda with another quietly impressive performance out-qualifying and beating his team-mate to bag some points. Massive flop from Aston Martin and their B-spec car. Forgettable race for Williams but worth noting that Latifi actually did quite well and beat Albon in the race although nobody will be shocked if it emerges that Albon was carrying some sort of damage or something.

As far as Barcelona goes, a very decent race.
