Liverpool's visit to Fulham didn't go to plan on Saturday's lunchtime kickoff, and although they pegged back the Cottagers twice, they weren't able to deliver the ultimate victory that would have seen @CaaC (John), @Rick, @6666, @Storts, @Bluewolf, @Lucas and @...Dan safely through the first Gameweek. The only other casualty this weekend was @Redcanuck, the only man to back Man Utd for victory against Brighton at home - the less said about his side's performance, the better! Unlucky everyone, look out for a tag for Round 2 when this one is over. Survivors (14) Aside from Liverpool, most of the 'obvious' picks were successful and we saw a variety of pathways into Gameweek Two. @N U F C, @Pyfish and @Whiskey were the only ones to go in with Friday night's game between Crystal Palace and Arsenal, where they correctly backed the visitors to triumph. In Saturday's 3pm kick offs, Spurs were the overwhelmingly popular pick, and they duly delivered a comfortable 4-1 victory over Southampton to send @RandoEFC, @Aladdin, @Stan, @Dan, @Michael and @The Liquidator into Gameweek Two. Newcastle also delivered the good on Saturday afternoon, with @nudge, @Tommy and @DeadLinesman benefitting from their 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest. The last wave of correct picks came from Goodison Park on Saturday evening, as @Rucksackfranzose and @Viva la FCB backed Chelsea to do the business ahead of their 1-0 victory on the road. For the second week running, Liverpool proved to be the spoiler of the week, as they could only rescue a point from behind against Crystal Palace, spelling the end of the line for @RandoEFC, @Rucksackfranzose, @N U F C, @Tommy and @Michael.
