Modeste scores his first goal for Dortmund who take the lead in Berlin against Hertha.

Union re-take the lead auf Schalke.

Apparently someone collapsed behind the advertisment boards? Union's players were signaling for medical help.

Leverkusen taking Mainz to the cleaners.

Yep, Frimpong scoring twice in the space of 2 minutes for the 2nd and 3rd goals for Leverkusen! Frimpong was excellently set-up by Diaby for his first goal and then capitalised on a mistake in the Mainz defence for his 2nd goal.

Mainz 0-3 Bayer Leverkusen

Well Leverkusen claim their first points and their first win of the season by beating Mainz. Palacios opened the scoring for them with a right footed shot from outside the penalty box, that found the bottom left hand corner of the net. Frimpong then scored Leverkusen's 2nd goal after he was excellently set up by Diaby. Frimpong was on hand to slot Diaby's cross into the bottom right corner of the goal. Frimpong went on to score his 2nd goal and Leverkusen's 3rd after he took advantage of a terrible blunder in the Mainz defence, to tuck the ball home into the net. Hincapie and Bakker would be sent off in the 2nd half, but Leverkusen still held on and kept a clean sheet as well. This was by far Leverkusen's best performance of the season so far.

Final score: Mainz 0-3 Bayer Leverkusen

There's so much pace in this Bayern team. Alphonso Davies. Sadio Mane, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman have to be some of the fastest footballers in the world. They are totally controlling the play against Gladbach. Surely it's only a matter of time before they start scoring goals against them.

Upa with his first howler of the season god damnit man

Yep, he was the last line of defence and he had to make that mistake to help Thuram on his way, didn't he? A costly blunder by him. Bayern have dominated, surely they won't lose this match.

Hehehehe. Howler from Upamecano, but Thuram did very well there.

Also activists tried to tie themselves to the goal posts. Two failed to tie themselves to the posts before security got them, and another one fell down a fence and had to get treated by paramedics. Ouch.

I would feel confident except for one key factor here. Its Gladbach. Fucking Gladbach man.

Yeah dont take anything away from Thuram that was a really good run to take it away from the middle and a calm finish under pressure. But man was that bad from Upa.
