What is interesting is that if you do get past that 3rd round, the 4th round starts straight after the World Cup Final has finished.

So if you have a fair chunk of players that don't go to that and take on your typical 'Top 6 side', you'd have to fancy yourself seeing as they could very well be depleted, resting players for the league resumption.

It's a great year for an outsider to win it I think. I really hope we get our act together and go for it. We've had two superb draws.

they world cup may mean some clubs are protecting their stars from injury

Yeah that's not exciting to me. Premier League clubs play each other every weekend and City v Chelsea specifically will probably be second string sides going head to head anyway.
