Erdogan is proper dangerous and even then I won't let myself believe that he will start anything major.  But he's certainly one to keep your eyes open on where terror is concerned.

Its Erdogan supporters I am more worried about then himself as they are a bit too extreme.  But Trump I dont think is dangerous at all, he has quite a proffesional team behind him, the only thing he is lacking is the talking part as he isnt trained like a politician.  Also the media just are on his back all the time which has led to people believing that he is stupid etc.  He might be good when he is away and putting things together like he is trying to do, we have to wait and see if it works or not.

There are also many Turks that despise the man.  I know a few.

Yea mostly the educated Turks are against him. Erdogan told Turks who live in Europe to have 4 to 5 children lol so there will be Turks everywhere.

Just because Trump is a billionaire it doesn't mean he's intelligent mate.  I know millionaires that are pretty stupid but brilliant when it comes to business.  I agree with you that he isn't dangerous at all and that the media are playing on his character...  Although the media play on it because he provides material to play on.  I think we should celebrate someone that is absolutely satirical in such a powerful position.

I would hate to think what the next elections will be like in England with the weakest of leaders of every party, so its a breath of fresh air to have someone like Trump in the mean time to be in charge of the most powerful country in the world.   Trump also met with the Irish prime minister today as well on St Paddys day who gave a speach about immigration.  xD

This. There are compatively fuck all people that respect Trump, like him and rate him well in the business community.

Not to say there are none but he is a bufoonish caricature that had been a running joke in America for the  decade largely by his own design and propagation of his "brand" as an uber successfull billionaire for stupid people.

Not this. He's not without limits on his power but he can easily position the US within the point of conflict with China within four years.

He can easily start another Iraq war that is something that the US still has not recovered from nearly 15 years later.

Any president can be dangerous but a dimwitted one that flies by the seat of his pants and disregards his own countries intelligence agencies in favor of brietbart conspiracy theorists even more so.

Mate, are you suggesting that one man (a president of a country like the USA) decides which country he's gonna attack and the whole government setup goes along with this mentalness?

I agree with you that his lack of intelligence where orating is concerned and also the fact he speaks before he thinks can get him into trouble and initially make the country look stupid if he's saying something about another nation.  But I'm sure things can be sorted out and I doubt a World War is going to be started and gone down in history because of someone stupid said something dumb.

I won't believe any of that but hey, I may be wrong.  Only time will say if he's dangerous or not, but I can't see it.

So what's he said there that's silly?

Nothing thats the problem, the press have brain washed certain people by the way they have potrayed Trump in the press and people believe it, so no matter what he says or does he will be seen as an idiot to those people.  Problem with Merkels expression on Trumps comment about the tapping of the phones, she is part of that estblishment even though the NSA were spying on her.

Trump does say some silly things, but I don't buy this everything he's says is dumb bollocks. The guy is no moron he's a billionaire running multiple successful businesses that takes brains.

Yeah. I think  there are some of us who should refrain from posting in threads full of so much civilizational angst, because we can hurt the safe-spaces of good hombres when pointing at funny cognitive dissonance/flaws in their edgy statements.

He's as dumb as a box of fucking rocks. Millionaires hire people to run their companies. Had he just invested correctly back in the 80's, he'd be worth $13billion, not $4billion.

Is he even worth $4billion? This figure is based on Trump's estimates, isn't it?!

That's part of the problem though, anyone can take a bit of something someone has said and make a smart remark about it to look clever. Trump did it many times himself during the election campaigns to rubbish his opponents points.

As with Trump a snarky remark doesn't negate the opposing point. Trump had some poor policies, I hugely disagree with him on climate change for instance. Loads of people just think that saying he's thick automatically dismisses him. The irony of their hubris makes me chuckle, if someone can genuinely unpack his presidency then I'm all ears. As is it's just a collection of individuals who lean left saying "he's dumb" that's not an argument.

You still need to be smart to manage people, it's a difficult art. You need to be informed about trends and industries in order to make smart investments, even if you hire folk to do the leg work. Just look at the election, his marketing was smarter than seasoned political campaigners and at a fraction of the cost. He's definitely not a polished statesman but he's not the ignorant moron some would paint him as. Look at him on Sweden, he labelled the media "fake news" and spoke about Sweden. They initially scoffed but then as the focus shifted it showed he was right mass immigration and liberal politiies aren't working. It reinforced two of his narratives and showed the media to be inadequate in their duty to report. It's smart no matter where you stand on it, I think.

What he does is he lies. He'll say something completely untrue so that he doesn't have to do the debating because he can't. His opposition will call him out on the lie, it will write headlines, atttact attention then his cult followers will swoop in to deflect from the lie by citing the broader topic and attacking people who challenge the lie.

Sweden is an example of this.

The truth is we just don't know if or how much of a danger Trump is because we do not know how far his obsessed fans will go with him.

Both sides have some deluded knackers, it's hardly just one sided brainwashing.

Spot on. The whole wire tapping allegation as well. First it was wire tapping, then he said he meant surveillance as a broader term, then said he was only repeating what fox news reported. He's an embarrassment.

The worst part about this is, it will make Shillery believe even she can win in 2020 and she'll run again.

Yeah confronting facts has kinda become a problem of lately. When a trumptist is being confronted with it then the alternative version of the "liberal tears" meme appears, focused in blame shifting and dennouncing an aggresive (TROLOLOL) "liberal" criticism damaging their safespaces. I am pretty sure there is a sound psychological projection mechanism working in there. The mind has inscrutable ways to cope with nonsense, after all.

See Kellyanne Cuntway last rant:

Quote

Anybody who pretends I’m not smart or not credible, it’s like, ‘Excuse me, I’ve spoken 1.2 million words on TV, okay?,’ ” Conway told me before the Flynn mishap. “You wanna focus on two here and two there, it’s on you, you’re a fucking miserable person, P.S., just whoever you are.

Could become his first real business which won't go bankrupt.

I think it's probably caused by both sides completely ignoring facts before trying to argue a point or poke fun.  Also the internet and social media as a whole seems much more greared into doubling down on your view no matter how erroneous it may be.

I'd also say that there's so much dis-information about him that it's a mine field over what's a legit reason to attack and what's baseless.

Case in point.

Trump or the Trump organisation of which he was the head (gotta be by proxy now) has 500 registered businesses of which 4 filed for bankruptcy, all were casinos in Atlantic city and they all came out of bankruptcy with him retaining control but shedding huge debts. Atlantic city is in decline in general he got out a few years ago now.

Theres an argument to make he's a bit of a cunt, most big businessmen are. Bankruptcy is underhand and not the most morally acceptable thing to do for most people's sensitivities. But there's just not an argument to be made that he's a bad businessman.

The problem is what's a lie? What American media outlets have credibility anymore?

Also Sweden was in my opinion fairly decent manipulation of the media in my opinion. It's in the American psyche now and he's not far wrong they have massive problems. It reinforced his anti immigration stance and his stance that the media aren't to be trusted. For me that's probably the smartest thing he's done in his press relations so far. There's been the odd car crash but I think most with common sense expect a novice politician to drop the odd clanger.

That's 's him repeating what Wikileaks are releasing. As above the leaks from wikileaks have totally undermined the vast majority of the Western media.

His ramblings on twitter and to the media aren't wikileaks. It's him attempting to deflect attention and it's failing. Miserably.
