He's set to be replaced by Mike Pompeo, the current CIA director and a man who was formerly a big time Tea Party congressman. Fuck knows what damage he's done to the CIA, but his Tea Party past indicates he's a right wing extremist. Rex Tillerson did a lot in the way of castrating the State Department and slowing the US's diplomatic operations (a huge number of State department positions remain unfilled). I suspect Mike Pompeo will be looking to carry on this mission as well as continuing to refrain from enforcing the sanctions on Russia or refusing to even make any comment on Russia's belligerence. Russia using a military grade nerve agent in the UK is something that the UK must respond to, and it's something that NATO should not take lightly at all. Although it's incredibly likely the US will do all it can to avoid having to do anything to upset Putin. Britain should: 1.) Expel all Russian diplomats, at very least; 2.) Target Oligarch money & prevent Oligarchs from accessing their real property in the UK; 3.) Strip RT of it's broadcasting licenses, no more Russian state propaganda on British shores. So here's something he can finally take credit for in the stock market - well other than the tech stock fears given the Cambridge Analytica-Facebook scandal. His lead attorney in the Russia probe has also stepped down. Meanwhile, Joe Biden and Trump are talking about how fucking tough they'd be and how they could beat the shit out of each other. But they're both a bunch of soft cunts who dodged the Vietnam war, so my guess is they're both a bunch of fannies. The idea of a big fat guy with bone spurs saying he would fight another man is pretty funny. But pretty shocking these are political leaders tbh, they're an embarrassment. Has a president ever lost an election while a war is waging? Bush Sr. lost after the Gulf War ended before his reelection. I wouldn't be surprised if a notorious war hawk like John Bolton is giving Trump tips on how to survive his first term. And what better way to take pressure off an investigation into whether he's a Russian puppet by threatening starting World War 3 over Syria with Russia? Although 40 minutes later, he did bemoan how we don't have better relations with Russia. So much of what Trump said or stood for in the election was just red meat for the populist base. There was no plan for providing a better healthcare system than Obamacare with a "essentially simultaneous" repeal and replace. It's become clearly apparent that Trump has no means of getting Mexico to pay for a wall, so now the American taxpayers are being asked to pay for an expensive (and unnecessary) wall. I'd like to mention, there currently is a border wall. And the whole playing up fears of Hillary being a war hawk all seems to be hilarious projection with the appointment of John Bolton as the national security advisor. Helping the middle American blue collar workers? Nah, they're all about to get hit with tariffs as a result of his (incredibly fucking stupid) trade war proposals. Evangelical support for him was also laughable, and remains laughable. The fact that any of his base remains behind him is a testament to the power of belief over observation. They believe he won't let them down because they don't want to believe they've been conned - but all evidence suggests they've been conned. They don't think about policy details and view every policy as something they dont understand and will assume the worst about it unless it comes from trump. Its becoming fairly clear that many of them are beyond reason and would still support trump even if he murdered Mueller, enslaved the country and at his next state of the union said nothing and literally just stood there beating off. If it's done too late after the fact, it's hard for them to police. And if you take matters into your own hands in calling it out, you can sort of ruin threads for other people who don't want to see that kind of negative shite.
