They battled very hard and have been rewarded with finishing 1st in the group after drawing 0-0 with Ukraine here in Poland. Ukraine had their chances, but a mixture of great saves by Gordon and wayward finishing has cost them 1st place. Ireland finish 3rd in the group after beating Armenia 3-2 in Dublin.
