Uruguay should be ahead. Bentancur weaved his way through but shot straight at the keeper.

Portugal still showing why they're so restricted under Santos. Every player seems to take several touches when there's open passes available. They bad Silva up near the touchline but no one in the box to cross to.

Apparently, FIFA changed it and gave the goal to Bruno Fernandes.

Arrascaeta for Godín makes Uruguay a lot more offensive. But they don't really have a choice.

It's insane that Rafael Leão is still on the bench. This match is perfect for him.

It’s fucking embarrassing he celebrated like he scored it, because he thought he could get away with it. Now he has to explain to Fernandes why he stole the glory.

Shocker of a decision.

Hate that the first view on the VAR screen the ref sees makes it look like a blatant handball.

The fact that came down to subjective decision for a ref is poor. Its quite obviously not a penalty.

Ultimately it always is a subjective interpretation of the rules.

Best start we've had in a WC since 2006, only the third time we've beaten a previous World Champion at the WC and some are more worried if it was Ronaldo that scored the goal.

News that the Portuguese Football Federation was sending FIFA proof that it was him who scored.

Fuck off.

Focus on what matters, which is our best chance to actually do something worthy of note in this competition, rather than feeding the ego of this has been.
