France should be ahead based on their play. Tunisia are trying to attack but either don't get enough players forward or just lack enough quality in the final third. From France's perspective, this was a great chance to give their reserves a run out in a World Cup match. While being able to rest their first team, going into their upcoming Round of 16 game. I am personally not a huge fan of teams resting players for their final group game, when they have already qualified. Because it can be unfair to the other sides who played against the best possible 11 of all the teams in the group. But there's little one can do to stop teams from resting their whole first team if they have already qualified. Fortunately, on this occasion, Australia managed to qualify along with France. It has to be said though, Fofana had a terrible performance against Tunisia, he was easily France's worst player on the day. For Tunisia, Khazri's goal gave them their first win at this World Cup. They will celebrate this win against their former colonizers, even if it was against the French reserve players. For Tunisia though, they leave this World Cup at the group stage along with Denmark.
