Senior agent in Portugal claiming we have reentered negotiations.

Please don't fucking do this to me again. 😭

If we met the terms of the club that would be one thing but would he himself want to come now after the last fiasco??

exploiting a loophole should not excuse it and like in Law the Courts become arbiters of the Law and can fill in where conduct has the effect of finding loopholes that the legislature overlooked or through changes in prevailing norms has not amended.

I think UEFA needs to add retrospective amortization limits to 3 years maximum to stop eplxploitation of FFP and save clubs from financial ruin.

Mudryk will cost Chelsea 100 million plus 50m in contract money, added to 14 other players on far bigger contracts means Chelsea will be paying 250-300m a season on contracts.

the reason only Chelsea are doing it is not because Boehly is a forward thinker, it's major long term risks and tieing a 25 year old down to 33 years is a disaster leaving old players on immovable contracts

All the players that have been offered long term deals are in their late teens to early 20's. No idea where you are getting this 25 talk. It's the very reason Mount's contract talks have been put on hold.

Koulibaly is the only transfer that presents a risk financially given his age but this was before Vivell came along.

I've never understood the fiasco with this one.

Why are Chelsea getting on their high horse pissing about quibbling over what to pay for him like they suddenly have decent business acumin? xD

It's a player they desperately want in a position they are desperate to fill. Of all the signings they have made, this should always have been top priority.

Why skimp now? Just do what you do. Pay over the odds because you can and make it rain. That's the answer to life's problems right?

As we speak UEFA is now capping amortisation to 5 years.

They are trying to... Typical though that now we spend a little bit of cash that all the other managers are crying in their morning cereal wanting us to be held back from being competitive... Amortisation only restricts those in the countries that have it as a 5 year rule but does not apply to the UK so now of course they need to find another way to try and keep us down... It's in the clubs nature to buy it's way out of trouble, you can't teach an old dog new tricks...

Not sure what all the fuss is about, I have probably spent more money on Projects round the house over the years.. B|

Hope this gets over the line this time. The ideal CM for us, genuinely. Should’ve been sought out well before the others this window but fair play if Vivell pulls it off.

With regards to FFP, aside the expected clear out I’m also half expecting the club to offload a lot of homegrown/academy players to recoup 100% book value profit. This makes a lot of financial sense. Gallagher, CHO, Reuben Loftus-Cheek, Ampadu, etc.

Would you have enough home-grown/academy players in the squad after that?

Aside from those 4 you mention - Chalobah, Mount, Hall, Sterling, Chukwuemeka, James.

Bettinelli

James

Chalobah

Mount

Sterling

Chilwell

Carney

Broja

There’s 8. Hall I reckon gets a loan move.

It sounds like we're hanging on this to happen in the hope that Gallagher or Reuben Loftus-Cheek become available on loan.

Only problem is Newcastle fan at work seems to think they're holding on to the same hope.

Hopefully we get this lad from Stuttgart. We'd really struggle without reinforcements this window.

Not sure we are even entertaining loan offers atm. We need to sell.

Just bid 105m for Enzo Fernandez. 5 installments, one large sum up front.
