Results - Gameweek One

Casualties (12)

The return of the Last Man Standing League results in an early bath for more than half of this round's entrants, with the number of first week casualties hitting double figures for the first time in a while. The carnage began in one of the morning fixtures, where Sassuolo's failure to overturn an early two-goal deficit at home to Sampdoria saw @Rucksackfranzose given his marching orders. Atalanta at least rescued a point from the same scenario in their visit to Spezia, but a draw wasn't enough to save @DeadLinesman, @6666 and @Pyfish. Torino were the real standout of the Gameweek, at home to bottom club Hellas Verona who had lost 12 of their first 15 league games, the hosts could only muster a 1-1 draw, meaning a zero-point round for @Michael, @Redcanuck, @Viva la FCB, @Tommy, @RandoEFC and @CaaC (John). Lazio's 2-1 defeat on the road to Lecce eliminated @Rick at the first hurdle, along with @Dan, as Udinese failed to find a winning goal against ten-man Empoli.

Unlucky folks, the next round might be soon at this rate so keep your eyes peeled for a tag!

Survivors (7)

With seven competitors making it into Gameweek Two, we aren't quite into tie-breaker territory yet, but we would have been if Arkadiusz Milik hadn't found a 91st minute winning goal for Juventus in their visit to Cremonese, helping @nudge, @Beelzebub, @Stan, @Bluewolf and @Lucas avoid the skip fire. There were other routes into Gameweek Two, but nobody could breathe easily this Wednesday with not a single Serie A fixture being decided by more than a one-goal margin. @...Dan was one of those who took a different route through, backing Milan ahead of their 2-1 win at Salernitana, while a 6th minute penalty by Lorenzo Pellegrini was the only goal in the game between Roma and Bologna, meaning that @Whiskey ended a nervous wait with safe passage to Gameweek Two.

Well done for starting this round with a successful pick! One point on the board each with over half of the competition already eliminated, things are looking good for you guys. Please read ahead for Gameweek Two.

Even though they're away, I'll tip Inter.

Picking a team from Milan away from home worked for me last round, so I'll do the same again. Inter.

My team might still lose, but oops!

Results - Gameweek Two

Casualties (3)

A much improved second Gameweek sees less than half of the field eliminated this time. It was heartbreak, though, for @Whiskey and @...Dan, who saw defeat snatched from the jaws of victory after a 93rd minute own goal by Denzel Dumfries cost Inter a victory away to Monza on Saturday. Another late capitulation and another 2-2 draw did for @Stan the following day, as Lazio fumbled a 2-0 lead in the final ten minutes of their game against Empoli.

Unlucky chaps, a slim chance of an extra bonus point aside, you end this score with just a single point, which is still better than most.

Survivors (4)

Napoli were the team to pick this week, as they despatched ten-man Sampdoria with a 2-0 victory on the road, allowing @nudge, @Bluewolf and @Lucas to cruise serenely into the third Gameweek. They are joined by @Beelzebub, who had to wait until Monday to learn his fate, but survives another week courtesy of Atalanta's comeback victory at Bologna.

Congratulations for surviving two weeks! We head into Gameweek Three with less than five players meaning that the tie breaker picks are activated!
