Devil
All falling into place nicely for us. City or Chelsea vs Oxford or Arsenal Brighton vs Liverpool or Wolves That's two of the top teams gonna be gone and Liverpool with a tough fixtures. Spurs will be happy as well. Bluebird Hewitt
Boreham Wood or Accrington Stanley will be looking to a good money spinner against Leeds.
Administrator Stan Posted January 8, 2023 Author Administrator Share Posted January 8, 2023 Walsall away for us. Fortunate. More PL ties is good for the draw. Especially what looks like Man City vs Arsenal.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted January 8, 2023 Subscriber Share Posted January 8, 2023 Luton or Wigan away for us. I'd prefer Wigan because it's closer to me but Luton would be interesting as we've currently got 2 of their strikers on loan - not sure if they have a clause not to play against them though. Lucas
Broadcasters have a lot of choice next round. Wrexham v Sheff Utd will surely be televised, as will City v Arsenal (assuming they win). Brighton's tie will be if Liverpool win their replay and Preston v Spurs is probably a TV pick. You could easily make cases for Walsall v Leicester and Derby v West Ham and if we beat Cardiff, Boreham Wood/Accrington v us could be a shout. I will find it amazing if the broadcasters pick Man Utd home to Reading to be televised though.

Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted January 9, 2023 Subscriber Share Posted January 9, 2023 Whatever our tie ends up being would be a nice one to be televised with their being a 2 league difference but it won't happen!
Subscriber Dan+ Posted January 9, 2023 Subscriber Share Posted January 9, 2023 I've never known luck like ours this season. Stockport, Newport, MK Dons, Gillingham and now Walsall
Rick
We’re either going out on Tuesday or it’ll be delayed until the next round. I have no confidence in us getting past Brighton at this moment in time.

Just find it ironic that the broadcasters bang on about 'the magic of the cup' then choose to air that tie instead of any lower league club that has more of a right to be aired for that reason. Bluebird Hewitt
A good cup tie with Leeds for Boreham Wood or Accrington Stanley. That should be televised.
