I am hoping that Leverkusen get a positive result in Rome. It won't be an easy game away from home, but Leverkusen are more than capable of getting past Roma over 2 legs. Hopefully Wirtz, Diaby and Hlozek are on form today.

Tah went in very hard in fouling Abraham. Then from the resulting free-kick Ibanez got a powerful close range header on target that Hradecky did excellently to save. That was Roma's best chance of the match so far.

Losing 1-0 away from home in the 1st leg away to Roma in the 1st leg is not the worst result, but Leverkusen will have hoped for better. Leverkusen created scoring chances in Rome and they will likely create even more chances in the return match at home. The good news for Bayer, is that they know that they have a good chance of winning the 2nd leg and with the fans behind them, they will hope to get the result that takes them to the final.

I am hoping Leverkusen manage to overturn the 1st leg deficit of one goal to nil and advance to the final. It won't be easy against this experienced and tough Roma side, but the likes of Wirtz, Diaby, Frimpong and Palacios have the ability to inspire Leverkusen to the necessary win tonight. It should be a very entertaining match.

Leverkusen vs. Roma is getting a bit heated now.

It's getting heated indeed. But Leverkusen have dictated most of the play, but trying to get past the Roma defence who are literally parking the bus at times has been very tough.

Leverkusen were the only team trying to play football tonight. Roma were pathetic and unsportsman like. Constantly players rolling or sitting on the floor, acting like they just suffered a carreer ending injury, just to continue playing like nothing happened a few seconds later. Or acting "injured" outside the pitch and sneakily roll back in to stop the play. Absolutely pathetic. I hope whoever reaches the final against them batters the cunts.

The Roma players kept deliberately dropping like flies, just to waste time. Every time they made a substitution their players took an age to get off the pitch and for most of the match they parked the bus, with almost the entire team in their own box. Typical Mourinho really, awful football to watch, but he gets results.

Leverkusen tested Patricio numerous times, mostly from range, but in the end they couldn't get that decisive goal amid Roma's antics. Leverkusen have been missing Schick for a lot of this season, but I think his aerial prowess could have converted one of Leverkusen's endless crosses tonight, Azmoun isn't the greatest in the air, although he did get a header on target in this game. In the end, it was a tough result for Leverkusen to accept as they were the team who came to play football.
