Rick 2,156
Looking forward to watching the Roma v Bayer game later. Hope Xabi can get to the final
Michael 1,038
I am hoping that Leverkusen get a positive result in Rome. It won't be an easy game away from home, but Leverkusen are more than capable of getting past Roma over 2 legs. Hopefully Wirtz, Diaby and Hlozek are on form today. Moderator Tommy 11,844 Posted May 11 Moderator Share Posted May 11 What a save by Hradecky.
Michael 1,038
Tah went in very hard in fouling Abraham. Then from the resulting free-kick Ibanez got a powerful close range header on target that Hradecky did excellently to save. That was Roma's best chance of the match so far. Michael 1,038
Seville take the lead away to Juventus as their Moroccan striker El-Nesyri scores to give them the lead in Turin. Juventus 0-1 Seville

Michael 1,038
Losing 1-0 away from home in the 1st leg away to Roma in the 1st leg is not the worst result, but Leverkusen will have hoped for better. Leverkusen created scoring chances in Rome and they will likely create even more chances in the return match at home. The good news for Bayer, is that they know that they have a good chance of winning the 2nd leg and with the fans behind them, they will hope to get the result that takes them to the final. Michael 1,038
I am hoping Leverkusen manage to overturn the 1st leg deficit of one goal to nil and advance to the final. It won't be easy against this experienced and tough Roma side, but the likes of Wirtz, Diaby, Frimpong and Palacios have the ability to inspire Leverkusen to the necessary win tonight. It should be a very entertaining match.
Michael 1,038
Demirbay has a shot at goal, but the Roma keeper Patricio doesn't have too much trouble saving the ball. Leverkusen are pressing a lot though here and looking for the opener.
Michael 1,038
Wirtz does well to find Diaby in space, but Diaby's effort goes wide of the post.
Michael 1,038
Diaby is put through on goal, but his right footed shot crashes against the cross-bar. Biggest chance so far for Leverkusen.
Michael 1,038
Demirbay has a low piledriver of a shot from just outside the area saved well by Roma keeper Patricio. That was a good effort by Demirbay.

But Leverkusen have dictated most of the play, but trying to get past the Roma defence who are literally parking the bus at times has been very tough. Moderator Tommy 11,844 Posted May 18 Moderator Share Posted May 18 Leverkusen were the only team trying to play football tonight. Roma were pathetic and unsportsman like. Constantly players rolling or sitting on the floor, acting like they just suffered a carreer ending injury, just to continue playing like nothing happened a few seconds later. Or acting "injured" outside the pitch and sneakily roll back in to stop the play. Absolutely pathetic. I hope whoever reaches the final against them batters the cunts. ScoRoss 795
Another season, another final for Roma! Just the financial frauds or the bald fraud left to beat now.

The Roma players kept deliberately dropping like flies, just to waste time. Every time they made a substitution their players took an age to get off the pitch and for most of the match they parked the bus, with almost the entire team in their own box. Typical Mourinho really, awful football to watch, but he gets results. Leverkusen tested Patricio numerous times, mostly from range, but in the end they couldn't get that decisive goal amid Roma's antics. Leverkusen have been missing Schick for a lot of this season, but I think his aerial prowess could have converted one of Leverkusen's endless crosses tonight, Azmoun isn't the greatest in the air, although he did get a header on target in this game. In the end, it was a tough result for Leverkusen to accept as they were the team who came to play football.
