Administrator Stan Posted June 2, 2023 Administrator Share Posted June 2, 2023 I hope he stays at Napoli. Too many times a 'new' club wins a league after so long and then their players get cherry-picked by bigger clubs, so they then can't build their own dominance. Or at least have to work doubly hard to find the next best thing in the hope it's a like-for-like replacement. Quote Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting the Magpies have made contact with the agent of the Nigerian player, despite the Serie A champions insisting they want to keep their prized asset. And any potential transfer is likely to cost a minimum of £130million given their valuation of the 24-year-old. Howe has been shrewd in the transfer market since taking over the north east club, with Newcastle so far resisting the urge to splash out millions following their controversial takeover. But the signing of Osimhen, who scored 25 league goals last season, would signal a major statement of intent in the club's bid to challenge for major trophies. Man Utd meanwhile, whose own takeover saga currently appears no closer to a resolution, are desperate to add to their forward ranks with Marcus Rashford their only player to hit double figures in goals in 2022/23, And Osimhen is a prime target, along with Tottenham's Harry Kane. Spike
Oshimen won’t be cherry picked, He cost €80mil, so at minimum he will cost over €100mil
OrangeKhrush
I think it is all paper talk, Napoli need to drive up interest to get Chelsea and Man United to spunk out stupid money and we just get thrown in as the hurry up.

OrangeKhrush
Jamie Rueben has come out and said some of the media expectation is unrealistic and that the club will not breach it's FFP restrictions under any circumstances. he went on to state the investors are in it for the long haul and that it's about organic growth rather than a rich man's toy. He highlighted that much of the work is growing the brand and viability of the club off the field and the infrastructure rather than blowing money on players. I think it puts to bed this utterly stupid link.
