Spike
Holy shit N’Golo Kanye is a diva!? The guy that drives a budget car to and from the training ground and his mosque!? The naughtiest thing Kante had ever done is probably score too many goals on FIFA

He was, like other elite footballers, getting paid rather handsomely (to put it lightly) that will more than set up them for the rest of their life. He's going to be setting up generations for his entire family. Can't think of player who deserves it more. Love the bloke to bits. Injuries likely impacting his decision as well as he can't go 2-3 games without a little niggle. He's accomplished football already so that also probably led to his decision. Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, 50 cent, Nic Cage, Cindy Lauper, Larry King just a few names that went broke very fast

Subscriber Dan+ Posted June 7, 2023 Subscriber Share Posted June 7, 2023 I'm really intrigued to see if the Saudis actually manage to get this to a point where they really impact the European game. These sorts of moves have always happened but it's if they manage to start attracting up and coming players as well.

These sorts of moves have always happened but it's if they manage to start attracting up and coming players as well. I think they'll use their fat stacks of cash to try to get as many big names as they can and then move from trying to bring in big names on free transfers (as they've done lately) to getting in more and more stars closer to their prime and eventually they'll team up with the clubs pushing the Super League. A bit like what they did with golf, create an expensive divisive issue in the sport and then eventually use those endless amounts of money they've got to "resolve" that solution with some sort of shite merger nobody asked for before they created a problem. But it works - people will associate the Saudis with golf, football, and their outrageous oil wealth rather than dismembering a journalist on foreign soil after calling him into an embassy or as the backers of Al Qaeda and ISIS.
