Unless we get Caicedo I can't see this happening, We only have 6 midfielders as it is...

Blimey, scraping the barrel now.

At this rate you might have to play a First teamer in the League Cup.

He's supposed to be assessed in preseason and then the club will make a decision. Will likely send him to a club that will play in a similar way and use him in a similar manner.

I think Leicester is the exact sort of club that would be good to send any promising young player too tbh. They've got high expectations for a championship side (expected to come right up), they've got a manager that's tied to the success of Pep Guardiola's most successful campaign in England - so you'd assume they'll play some of the most progressive football in the championship - it should be a decent experience for a player hoping to prove they can fit in at a club with high expectations.

Maresca is correct in essentially saying we'll be the Man City of the league - not that we'll walk it (I mean we might) but more that we're going to be facing a parked bus in 90% of our games. That's quite a good experience for a young player of a top team to gain.

How would you line up with him?

Central attacking midfielder.

Currently we're playing with Ndidi there (or started with him on Saturday). And that's not good. Praet came in and made a big difference, but he is likely to leave.

He'll be the central link from where Winks plays to whoever the strikers/wingers are.

You are going to enjoy him. I can promise you that.

30 minutes of football on the hallowed turf and he's scored our first last minute winner in front of fans for nearly 4 years. It's a good start.

Recalled. Lavia no return date and Lesly rumored out for the season.

Is it just me or is this lad a striker disguised as a midfielder?

He's not done much as a midfielder put it that way.

Not sure how good he'd be as a striker. He's tall but seems to lack composure and consistency.

I get he's young but I expected more given how highly rated he is and how much people (myself included) raved about him in summer. Part of me now thinks if he didn't fully settle here.

Maybe he'll come good.

Did well at Reading last year.

Yep. Another reason why I don't think he fully settled. Maybe he's been wanting to go back to Chelsea. Or Chelsea have plans to sell?
