Wales have named six uncapped players in their squad for the crunch World Cup qualifying matches against Austria and Moldova.

New Chelsea signing Ethan Ampadu, 16, is named in the senior squad for the first time, and he joins Liverpool's Ben Woodburn, Barnsley's Adam Davies, Norwich City striker Marley Watkins, Wolves midfielder Lee Evans and Bristol Rovers defender Tom Lockyer in the 25-man party.

Ampadu joined the Premier League champions this summer after impressing at Exeter City and with Wales' age-grade teams.

Gareth Bale is also back from suspension after missing June's 1-1 draw in Serbia due to a one-match suspension after receiving his second booking of the campaign against Republic of Ireland in March.

Joe Allen is also named in the squad but will miss the Austria match due to suspension, while Neil Taylor is also only available for the second match of the double-header after his red car against the Irish earned him a two-match suspension.

Joe Ledley is also among the squad despite still being without a club and not playing a game so far this season.

Wales host Austria on Saturday 2 September and take on Moldova in Chisinau three days later.

Wales squad: Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward, Adam Davies), Ben Davies, James Chester, Neil Taylor, Chris Gunter, Jazz Richards, James Collins, Tom Lockyer, Ashley Williams, Ethan Ampadu, Joe Allen, David Edwards, Andy King, Lee Evans, Joe Ledley, Aaron Ramsey, Jonathan Williams, Gareth Bale, Marley Watkins, Hal Robson-Kanu, Sam Vokes, Tom Lawrence, Ben Woodburn

Never even heard of some of those players. Any of the Chelsea lads know much about Ethan Ampadu? @Cicero @carefreeluke @True Blue

@Stan is so nice. ^_^

Anyway, must wins now after throwing six points away against Austria away, Serbia at home and Georgia at home. Drop points in any of these games and we're fucked.

I'd like to see you and Ireland both get in but very unlikely to happen. When did Serbia get good?
