Moderator Tommy 12,385 Posted November 15 Moderator Share Posted November 15 That's one of the fastest "coach of the year" to out of the job transitions I've ever seen.
Rucksackfranzose 4,131
Wouldn't be surprised, if Union gonna regret this decision. In my opinion one of the best managers around.
Administrator Stan 18,102 Posted November 15 Administrator Share Posted November 15 Shame it's not worked out for him after last season's success and the rise and rise over the past 5 years. I'm guessing it was the difficulty of managing league and Europe so far this season that has been the end of him?

Union were boxing above their weight for the last 3 seasons and you couldn't expect this to be going on for ever, in my honest opinion. Moderator Tommy 12,385 Posted November 15 Author Moderator Share Posted November 15 I also think that they are paying the price for completely changing their DNA. From underdog who gets the best out of "mediocre" players to Champions League club who signs big names. Probably too many steps at a time.

It may have been yourself but I remember the Bonucci signing was very much frowned upon and a typical example of the above. Good luck to him and I hope Union go back to what made them successful and don't totally ditch their morals.
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ 2,505 Posted November 15 Subscriber Share Posted November 15 Unfortunately this was always coming. Still sad to see and I really dont know if this improves them tbh either. Moderator Tommy 12,385 Posted November 21 Author Moderator Share Posted November 21 Kevin Schade parted ways with his agent, who made these disrespectful comments towards Union Berlin's new assistant Marie-Louise Eta. Saying he doesn't share his values and attutide.
Moderator Tommy 12,385 Posted November 25 Author Moderator Share Posted November 25 Apparently Raul is set to become the new Union coach. Announcement expected on Sunday. Sounds like they're still trying hard to become the "Big City Club" instead of focusing on their old philosophy.

Well, at least, that's what kicker are reporting today.
Rucksackfranzose 4,131
Union officially announced Nenad Bjelica as their new manager. That's an appointment more in line with Union's old philosophy than Raul would have been. Edited November 26 by Rucksackfranzose
