What movies, that people deem as classics, are you yet to see?

Some of the classics I'm yet to see include The Manchurian Candidate, Great Expectations, Greed and The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.

Great thread.

Off the top of my head I'll say;

  • Shawshank Redemption
  • Reservoir Dogs
  • La La Land
  • The Godfather (any of them)
  • Pulp Fiction

You should be ashamed of yourself! DO IT NOW and stop watching Barça! >:(

If you take out Shawshank, I'm the same.

Could also add most of the Star Wars films, and anything before around 1965.

Most of the Star Wars films aren't and never will be classics.  Have you seen the first three?

Everything after the original three are absolute rubbish and overrated by strange people.

I could definitely see the appeal of the films, and I still enjoyed them. But I'm not going to let it consume my life like many do.

Stars Wars 4, 5 and 6 are great adventure films.

Nobody likes 1, 2 and 3! 7 was horrible and Rogue One was decent enough for a night at the theatre.

2 things, Firstly La La Land a classic?

Secondly what have you been watching all  your life then? Shawshank, Reservoir & Pulp fiction are masterpieces.

For myself

Deer Hunter, (i've seen Bits)

Taxi Driver (i've seen bits)

Deliverance (i've heard about one bit)

This an absolute gem of a movie.  So many parts are improvised which makes it even more outstanding like the bit where they're arguing at home.

Robert De Niro is incredible in that film. He doesn't just act as Jake Lamotta, but actually becomes him. One of the greatest ever performances by an actor in my view.
