The only time I've seen police react to any crimes quickly in the last couple of years is when CHP pulls someone over for speeding. Otherwise it's just horror stories of a group of entitled arseholes who are upset that people don't like them because they're shit at their jobs/racist murderers.

They also have have high rates of domestic violence. Something is rotten to foster a culture with these common observations, violent, racist, entitled, even if someone enter the force none of those things, what is stopping the osmosis from imparting those traits on a recruit? These are people with terribly stressful jobs that are neither trained or supported to be anything but a jaded monster. It probably doesn’t take many violent scenes to jumble up the brain of a naive young person.

Doesn’t help that the second society demands a bit of accountability, their unions go insane.

I dunno what America’s got to do to fix it’s policing situation, but they probably need to have higher entrance standards and a lot more training.

Thought I read something that it takes 500 hours to pass the police academy in the states and in Europe its roughly 4000-5500 hours of training in the police academy.
