People refer to wee boys as monkeys sometimes. Its a range of items with a jungle theme. They quite obviously didn't pick out the black kid and give him the monkey hoodie. To call it racist is extremely counter-productive. However, calling a little black kid a monkey is also just negligent and entirely socially oblivious, and just creates this scope for needless antagonism. Danny 2,201 Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 If it said cheeky monkey I'd get it a bit more, but anyone who chucks a black kid in a jumper that says "coolest monkey in the jungle", a phrase I've never heard in my life, and expects it to be OK are probably a bit stupid.
