No but it's a large component, having everything at the press of a button, instant gratification through social media and other outlets preceding seeping into personal and work life expectations. You can tell I'm bored at work because I'm actually debating this but you are a millenial regardless of the fact that it's just used as a term to group the opinions of people that older generations do not share or like together to discredit any form of progressive thinking regardless of how radical it may or may not be. Much like calling people generation snowflake it's a lot easier to tarnish someone's reputation rather than actually engage in a point for point debate over whatever issue is being discussed and is essentially a sign of a lack critical thinking and just a show of general ignorance. In separate articles, the New York Times pegged the Millennials at 1976-1990 and 1978-1998. A Time magazine article placed the Millennials at 1980-2000. The rest of the world does not have Lost Generation, G.I. Generation, Silent Generation, and the Baby boomers, so it cannot have Gen X, Gen Y, or Gen Z.
