Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today.

She was 46 years old. The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session. No further details are available at this time.

Dolores was born and raised in the Ballybricken area of County Limerick, Ireland.

In 1990 she auditioned and won the role of lead singer for a band called The Cramberry Saw Us which eventually became The Cranberries.

Prior to their 2003 hiatus, the band released five albums. Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? (1993), No Need To Argue (1994), To the Faithful Departed (1996), Bury the Hatchet (1999) and Wake and Smell the Coffee (2001).
