A good traffic driving thread and some mod hides it in here ffs!! xD   ...i will be bringing this up at the next donator share holder board meeting, this mod needs to sit in the naughty corner, Stan :coffee:

1. it was an old story
2. it didn't need it's own thread (it related to Sanchez or could have gone in Man Utd Discussion thread)
3. there was no offical-ness to it!! Purely speculation with no substance.

I'll happily sit in the naughty corner and carry on correcting your mistakes :D

That's the price elite teams have to pay

- Haven't won the league since 2013

- Finished 6th last season

- 12 points behind City this season

All during the time of having the most expensive transfers and wages in PL history.

Where the fuck did this "Trust the Process" shite come from? I mean... I know the answer is Americans. I'm saying that because I have a friend who's a Cleveland Browns fan and that's something he's said so many fucking times with regards to his shite team constantly being shite.

They're literally taking criticism that Chelsea (notice how it's a Chelsea fan account) used to get hurled it's way routinely, and now taking the opportunity to do the same thing to Man Utd...

I love the United fans saying that the Sanchez signing and wages are totally justifiable because it will mean that he's going to bring in so much revenue from Chileans. As if the best player of Chile is the same for marketing potential as signing a Chinese or Japanese players. It's almost as though they never thought about: 1.) shirt manufacturers make most of the money from shirt sales, 2.) Japan's population abso-fucking-lutely dwarves Chile's, 3.) different cultures of materialism amongst their middle to upper class. But I guess that's a bit too complex for the extremely simple xD

Yeah, Chileans had no idea who Man Utd were before this. I bet they are burning their Colo-Colo shirts and running in droves to the nearest jersey store to buy 'Sanchez 7'. This isn't a country like Indonesia where football is in it's infancy FFS.

I think someone has already mentioned it but Alexis is (or can be) the perfect Mourinho player.  Now that he’s (Alexis Sánchez) happy due to getting the wages he was dreaming of, he will offer what he can naturally which is top quality (world class on his day) attacking football and also a high end work rate tracking back and lots of tackiling of rival players with high intensity.

If that isn’t an almost pornographic type erotic dream of what Mourinho wants in his style of play, then I don’t know what is.

I worry (well, worry probably isn't the right word since I would actually find it kind of funny) how Alexis' and Jose's egos will exist compatibly. Alexis seems to need to be the center of attention. He's often seemed to be playing more for Alexis than for Arsenal. How much freedom will Jose give him? How will Alexis react when Mourinho, as he inevitably will, subs him? Will Mourinho bench him if he tries to do too much on his own and starts giving the ball away or making bad passes? Can Jose put up with Alexis' eccentricities in exchange for his match-winning abilities? I don't know. It will be fascinating to see. I honestly could see it going badly just as easily as well.

United don't need to play as well as City are, they just need to make up 12 points. Obviously not this season but next, so if they go into next season with a 30 goal striker alongside their current forwards then they're a step closer to matching that.

Itll be interesting to see what summer signings are made

Do you think we will sit on our hands this summer??  ..we will improve the squad again so united will always be playing catch up, the Pep era has begun ;)

Sigh... Ruining football? Opinion with no justification. Those numbers are high yes, But thats the price the three elite teams have to pay. This next season man utd and citehh will continue to distance themselves from the rest(the new la liga) mou and woodward established two goals from the get got. Fix the damage moyes and lvg had inflicted and add the right pieces (elite teams not only need a WC starting eleven but also have proper talented depth). The other "contenders" lack a few WC players (starting eleven) and the depth is not there. .. Buying players like Drinkwater, Solanke, AOC, Barkley, Welbeckzz, and the bust of the year Bakayoko only add depth but no WC talent.

Like I said, the goddamn salary means zero fuck cause it takes moves like that to continue generating the record revenue.

Elite teams are playing chess betting high (high salaries) and don't mind it cause the winnings and the Global brand power/influence is worth it .

The other teams are too busy playing checkers, yes they still have winners but when you bet low, don't expect to be on the top when it comes to generating revenue or have the power to keep who ever the fuck you want regardless (thats liverpool's problem, they are always rebuilding because as soon as they develop a WC players, the bigger teams show up. Scousers PLEASE name the last elite player the club snatched away from the other top teams???? EVERY single player mou and Woodward have seriously targeted during the process is now a red devil regardless of the price or who they play for.

The are always reasons as to why things can go wrong mate.  You’re right that Mourinho will ostracise Alexis if the Chilean starts to think he owns the joint...  But I don’t think that will happen for two main reasons.  One is the fact it’s Mourinho he’s playing for and he knows about Mourinho very well and the second reason is that he’s going to Manchester United which is very different to being at Arsenal.

It was originally from the NBA team the Philadelphia 76ers. They were massively criticised for 'tanking'. Which is basically being shit on purpose so they can acquire better young talent, as in American sports the shitter teams get the better young college talent through being gifted high draft picks.

It’s not the Chilean market as a singular entity Man Utd will be getting benefits from but the Latin American market itself which is MASSIVE!  It’s the main market English clubs lack major popularity in and with that Latin American market itself comes all the Latin American in the USA.  The move is a good one on those stakes.

He’ll be in decline within 2 years and Utd will be paying £500k a week for a ball kicking zimaframe xD

The way Football is these days with clubs searching for instant success and no longer willing to really bet on youth players and instead loaning them out to get that experience, this is normal under those ideals. Also add to the equation the fact United’s spending and appointment of Mourinho gives us enough signals that they are searching to get the brand name back into the reckoning for competing in the top honours that count where brand name marketability is in question. This signing ticks all those boxes and I also don’t fall into the bracket of this new fangled mentality that believes a player is finished by 30.

Yeah, sorry but it's not as though Latin American players haven't been at England or anything. And again, most of the money off shirt sales goes to the kit manufacturers, not the club.

The move is a good one because he's a good player. But not because of some kind of financial magic from signing a South American star.
