Those Chinese clubs really do overpay as there is no way Oscar, Lavezzi, Pelle and Hulk would be earning that in Europe. It's scandalous and it's no wonder why a lot of talented players are starting to leave very good clubs, for shite ones in China where they disappear and you forget they are playing. It's sad to see. Also Mbappe, 15.9 million a year for a teenager. Jesus. He is special talent, but earning too much too young may end up having a negative impact on the lad. Those wages amount to £20m over a three year period, a lot to pay for a 35 year old but his wages were always going to go up considering his goal scoring record and his free transfer. Time's running out for him in terms of consistently winning top honours, likely longer will be at Spurs until he's 28/29. Yeah, still plenty of time for him, I think if he gets to 28 then sure...but for now I think he's very content. Zero indication he wants to go anywhere. I'm under no illusions that eventually the pressures to move on may get to him, but for now he truly wants to be the best ever for us, and in the Premier League, and it's certainly possible. Records are good and that, but they can be broken again by someone else but you can’t take away a Premier League, La Liga or Champions League medal and realistically, he’s not going too win two out of those three at Tottenham, at present or within the next couple of years, in which time, he’ll turn 27 that summer. That’s far too late for a ‘big’ move, I reckon. A good end to the season, goals at the World Cup and a good 18/19 in front of goal and he’s off next summer, for me. I think in a case such as Kane’s we’re talking more about what he thinks he can achieve at club level in terms of winning the top honours. If he thinks he can achieve that at Tottenham, then he won’t move but if he has doubts, there are specialists around Europe in making you believe that the move benefits you. I'd be devastated if he leaves, he's my favourite footballer ever. That's pretty much what I said - I agree with you. I just don't think it will be for a few years yet. Kane has said numerous times, he wants to be a one club man if possible, he wants all this at Tottenham, and he'll give it every chance to happen. But as you say I am sure the pressure will get to him in a few years if that path is still closed. We'll see. Christian Cueva is better than a lot of players on that list yet he's playing for Sao Paulo.
