Youssoufa Moukoko: The heir to Messi's throne?

If you've been impressed by Borussia Dortmund academy graduates Mario Gotze, Christian Pulisic and Felix Passlack, prepare to be stunned by another outrageously gifted youngster in the BVB stable: Youssoufa Moukoko.

At the age of 12 (do not rub your eyes, yes we did say 12) last October, the striker was the hero of the hour against Schalke, netting a stunning hat-trick as the Under-17s recovered a three-goal deficit to draw 4-4, and put his name on the back pages.

It was the Cameroon-born prospect's fourth three-goal haul of the 2017/18 campaign, and was part of an amazing tally of 28 goals from the first 15 games of the season.

Moukoko, who was born in Cameroon on 24 November 2004, joined Dortmund from Bundesliga 2 side St. Pauli last year and immediately hit the ground running. In 2016/17, he was top scorer in the club's all-conquering U-15 side, netting 33 times in 21 games to help them win the Regionalliga West title with five matches to spare. His performances did not go unnoticed by the German FA, who called him up for two U-15 matches against the Netherlands in May.

His prolific return also prompted Dortmund to bump him up to the U-17s this season in order to further his development.

He looks like a fucking 35 yr old.

I reckon some African ethnic groups just looks that way, even that bloke at Lazio (edit: another Cameroonian!) looked like an old man. Look at the Oromo people of Ethiopia for instance, their facial structure is closer to Arabs and Mediterranean people, I reckon it's from Nile river trading.

Any 18 year old will find it that easy to score when playing against 12 year old kids.

I mean whether he is 13 or not it's clear that he is faster and stronger than his peers. It's practically similar to being 18.

He's obviously got talent but it's impossible to say how that will translate in a context in which he's playing with players on a physical par with him.
