Routine win for Liverpool.

Job done first half. See out the game in the 2nd half.

It also helped immensley that Southampton have no attacking nous at all. It's painful to watch at times how they try and hoof it or get crosses in to the box with barely any height in the box, let alone against VVD and Lovren/Matip.

Not like Sours :coffee:

Irrelevant.

Liverpool clean as a whistle, never dive apparently. Can be the only reason for the such strong ethical feelings against it

Now now stop getting rattled Storts :|

So you admit Liverpool players dive too? And obviously you're against diving? So Firmino should be punished? Pretty sure that's how it works

Wow 😮

Never thought I’d see Storts meltdown in a match day thread xD

Very good deflection tactics - so to confirm from this, dives are only okay if they're done by a Liverpool player? Got it.

Calm down kid, ya gunna do yourself a mischief

Just waiting for a simple answer from you - I'm as calm as can be.

Do you agree with Firmino's diving if it benefits Liverpool?

Yeah but we should have had 23.

Yeah, minimum at least. And our last match seemed to teach us that diving is a lovely trick rewarded by referees, who perform brilliantly when conned. I wouldn't mind if opposition players were penalised for breathing on our players too.

It didn’t benifit us, and it wasn’t as blatant a dive as what your lot were playing at.

Spurs only got a point at Anfield because of diving.

We won today regardless.

Liverpool didn't benefit from anything you bell

Neither did we with Alli - doesn't stop the strong abuse.

Just wondering if it's one rule for Liverpool, another for everyone else.

Why is there not condemnation from Liverpool fans for Firmino trying to con the referee?

Well, I'd argue it was more of a dive than both, he just threw himself to the floor, on multiple occasions.

Whether it benefitted you on this occasion or not is irrelevant. Who cares if you won regardless. We should have consistency throughout surely? Do you agree with his attempts to win a penalty by diving?
