Similar to the one that Cicero picked, also try and keep it from your lifetime (since you were a supporter), this one should be interesting.

Mark Cook

Joaquin Aguirre - Braynner Garcia - Fernando Alloco - Alexi Gomez

Angel Romero - Giordano Mendoza - Fernando Del Solar

German Alemanno - Cris Martinez - Maxi Giusti

These players go right up there with the worst of the worst. You're unlikely to see worse players than these 11. All from this century (bar Rubiños) I will run it down briefly.

Mark Cook

The Newcastle born fella that came to play in Peru. A bit harsh to include him as he played 2 games only, but truth is he was an amateur player playing in a professional league and both games he played were atrocious. The 21st century keepers at La U weren't bad, so I had to include one of the backups.

Joaquin Aguirre

Also harsh to include him as he played around 20/21 and it was near his debut but there is really no potential with this guy and he was atrocious in every game he played. Even with a debut, there is a certain standard you need to meet.

Braynner Garcia

One of the worst center backs I've ever seen. Manage to last 2 years at La U before we sent him back to Colombia

Fernando Alloco

I don't recall him being awful, but there was really no one else to put here and he's just so forgettable. He was in Peru for 3/4 years and people ask you who he is if you ask about him. I think he plays in 3rd or 4th tier Argentina now.

Alexi Gomez

Alexi Gomez is actually really good and plays in Atlas in Mexico now. He did really well in his second stint at Universitario, but there is a good reason I've included him and that's because as a left back, he was an open door. Its almost as if there was no player on that left and the opposing players just ran past him. He was converted to a winger because his work rate was null.

Angel Romero

Used to be OK-ish but now does everything wrong you can imagine and I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Giordano Mendoza

Probably the worst CM I've ever seen

Fernando Del Solar

Jose "Chemo" Del Solar's brother who was really really bad

German Alemanno

Used to be great at USMP but when he moved to La U, he became the worst striker on the planet. I'll just leave a blooper video and see what you guys think

Cris Martinez

Similar to Alemanno, he was awful but he didn't even get in good positions and miss a chance. He simply did nothing. Some Peruvians actually thought he was decent, and I can't for the life of me make out why.

Maxi Giusti

I feel bad including him because he died at 27 only 3 years ago. Its a shame what happened to him but he wasn't very good either and missed too many chances like Alemanno. Just because of what happened though I'm going to restrain being harsh on him.

Doing it based on my time watching us, and I'm only going to name players who played more than a handful of games. It gets silly otherwise. Also giving priority to regulars because their incompetence is far more egregious

Mignolet

Johnson Kyrgiakos Coates Konchesky

Markovic Adam Poulsen Spearing Downing

Carroll

Probably forgotten some names, but that looks like a pretty shocking team to me. What surprised me doing this is that I can't think of a single atrocious CB we've had playing regularly, and yet we haven't had a solid defense for a decade.

Johnson is an incredibly harsh inclusion. He was very good at times. Generally poor towards the end but was a good player on the whole for the first 3 years or so

I thought he was a defensive liability from day one to be honest. He got away with a lot by occasionally contributing to the attack. Admittedly I did forget about Josemi

The years from 2003 - 2008 are just an abyss in my mind and the above spring out from that (says it all, really). Apart from Matt Mills and Barry Hayles, they're all from that era I think. Some absolute dross across the board. what a shite decade for the most part.

Captained by Adebayor...

GK: Kenny Miller - Refused to play when we were in administration and I have absolutely no doubt that he took a bung in the 6-0 defeat to QPR which Clinton Morrison called him out on.  To think we replaced a legend in Carlo Nash for him.

RB: Darcy Blake - I was quite excited about his arrival and he started off well. Then something clearly happened off the pitch as he just vanished from football shortly after Dougie left and found himself struggling at Newport County in a couple of season time.

CB: Adam Barrett - We've traditionally done well out of defenders so I had to go back to the archives to think of one. Adam was signed as one of Dougie's mates from Scunthorpe but he was clearly out of his depth in The Championship. Responsible for so many goals in such a short period of time. Didn't really stand a chance.

CB: Paul McShane - Again, very harsh this one but our defence went to absolute shit in the short time he was on loan to us.

LB: Zeki Fryers - I have no idea who commissioned spending a couple of millon on him but I sure as hell hope they are no longer connected to the club. He was never ever going to be good enough.

RM: Jimmy Kebe - Signed for a couple of million. Had no interest in football any more, and never played again after Tony Pulis saw him warming down in flip flops.

CM: Elliot Grandin - A bit of a harsh one this but during the Ian Holloway Banter Window we signed something like 15 players and didn't have enough space in the squad. So Elliot, Dobbie, Marange and a couple of others had to be turfed away without playing a game.

CM: Jordan Mutch - Amazingly he's still here. We signed this player that was great for Cardiff and full of potential after he spent six months at QPR. He arrived fat and has never improved. I don't know what Harry did to him but it absolutely destroyed him.

LM: Jeff Hughes - A Peter Taylor signing in the mid naughties that Warnock quickly turfed out. I used to always feel sorry for the left back behind him because you just knew they were going to get an absolute pasting because this guy would never run back.

ST: Pablo Counago - He didn't run once. So dissapointing given when the ball was actually at his feet you could see why Ipswich fans really liked him.

ST: Emanuel Adebayor - The biggest sack of shit to ever play for this club. Spoke about his fans all time and himself in third person. Had such an inflated opinion of himself when he was about as much use as Aaron Wilbraham on about twenty times the wage.

Manager: Frank DeBoer -- Just an absolute loser.

Almunia

Jenkinson - Squillaci - Silvestre - Andre Santos

Park - Denilson - Elneny - Traore

Chamakh - Sanogo

I tried to get players who played a decent amount of games but had to put some in who hadn't mainly Park and Traore but they were shite. Midfield was hard as we haven't had anyone particularly awful but the defence and strikers were easy. xD

Didn't think Rafael was that bad. Got to be some room for Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba... so many poor signings but every clubs got them!

I do not have enough time to do a Perth one. Can think of about 30 already.

Yea of course Djemba X2 and Kleberson would have to be in it. Even Anderson did more than those two. I just think that, value for money wise, you can't really get worse than Pogba and Fellaini. Fellaini hasn't even been too bad. It's just that he cost about 3 x his actual worth

I'd have to go with pretty much entirely that side although Hayles at least scored a couple of big goals if I remember rightly. I reckon Bednar was probably worse.

Mills was just a total utter flop in every way. Undisciplined, untalented bag of shite, signed as captain for a club record fee. A terrible signing.

Ryan McGivern's the worst defender I've ever seen here. I couldn't get over how awful he was.

I've probably missed someone really obvious but this will do. Some pretty bad players there!

I'd go with this as well. Degan or Josemi at right back and that's the only "questionable" thing I can see with you XI.

It's a fucking nightmare of an XI.
