Here's a pulled pork burger my mate and I made over the summer holidays on his sexy outdoor meat smoker.

He cooks as a hobby with a hope of building a following on Instagram so most weekends he's busting out the bbq to whip up something pornographic.

After trying out the smoker and seeing how easy it is I reckon I might buy one myself.

Nah never got the appeal of giant hamburgers.

Cor if you don't hold the back of the burger so all the stuff doesn't fall out you don't deserve to be holding the burger!

I refuse to believe that it's physically possible to hold the back of that burger Harry posted and eat it neatly without it falling apart and making a mess though xD

That was an Instagram photograph though. The equivalent of the professional ones at a McDonald's that even make cheeseburgers look like a nice thick burger as opposed to something about as thick as a slice of bread.

So it compressed nicely when you picked it up.

Then use both hands and all 5 fingers to hold it. Push your chair in and eat over a plate. Take sensible sized bites. If it starts slipping pull out a couple of pieces of pork to eat on the side. Done.

Fair enough. I have no doubts that it tasted great... But it looks massive with sooooo much stuff in it! Couldn't see myself managing to finish it off in one sitting :D

My parents are coming soon, so I’m practicing cooking some Persian food to impress my mum.

Kabobs and stews aren’t too hard. But I’ve always been shit at cooking rice like a Persian and making tadig (this delicious crispy rice).

I think I did okay last night though

This looks yummy... How do you eat it? As a side to something or as a base of some main dish? I had something similar in Vietnam where they served it as a kind of a snack with dried shrimps and scallions.

A good way to think of the rice & the tadig is as a base for the main dish. Persian food's got a lot of stews, so typically you'd put stew on top of the tadig and with the rice and eat that. I like tadig with or without stew though - without stew you'd have it on the side with whatever meat you're eating with it.

That's how we ate it last night.

You have Persian roots?

We have some Persian restaurants in Düsseldorf. Never been, but it's tempting. I can imagine that it's a very nice cuisine.

Yeah my mum’s from Iran & my grandparents decided to fuck off outta Iran when Khomeini took over.

You should go! I think Germany’s got a lot of Iranians - it was a lot of people’s first stop out of Iran after the revolution & a lot of them never left.

Oh cool, I never knew that. I thought you're one of those typical bog-standard Brits. :P

I definitely will in the future. :)

We Merseysiders are a class above the average Brit already, so my ethnicity just makes me extra special.

If you like beef try a soltani when you go try out Persian food. So fucking tasty

Just googled that. Is it minced beef? Looks yummy either way.
