This could be interesting in terms of history. Gary Madine has signed for Sheffield United on loan.

Thoughts @DNA?

It just is what it is and we'll have to deal with it, guys a total cunt but all my trust is in Wilder and even Billy Sharp gave Madine the dressing room green light apparently. @Stan Clarke hasn't been up to it this season, and is exactly why Sharp's re-emergence was vital and I can see Woodburn getting recalled by Liverpool, a complete waste of space, forgettable player, no skill or impact.

I like the signing of Madine and if Sharp plus Wilder want him in then that is good enough for me, no doubt been a bad egg in past but seems to have put that all behind him and is keen to play for us so happy to give him a chance.

This is a similar signing to Hanson when we was in league one, we play great football but sometimes we just can't break teams down so why not have a Madine character in squad who is not afraid to cause defenders problems and hopefully can bag a few goals to help the promotion push and of course a winner against Wednesday would certainly help him with the fans.

We’ve sold Alan Judge to Ipswich, ironically where he broke his leg.

Such a shame he wasn’t able to return to the player he was with us, before the break he was one of the best midfielders in the league scoring for fun.

Errm, he's barely played at all over the past few years has he? Doesn't bode well for a 30 year old centre back, will only be backup really as the team is functioning very well at the moment.

Pretty much. Should be useful as a backup though as he is able to play anywhere at the back (though he's better playing central).

@Danny

Thought Alan Judge used to do well for Brentford?

Used to be our best player and could have been a Premier League player who played at the Euros by now, but after spending two years out with a broken leg it’s taken it’s toll on him.

Still a quality Championship player, but with no real resale value and being a squad member now it’s probably time to sell. Especially as he wants more first team football.

Forest have signed Yohan Benalouane xD

Not sure what O'Neill's playing at here. He's a car crash of a 'defender'. Guaranteed booking each game (or most) and very reckless and clumsy.

Ashley Cole to Derby is apparently looking likely too. Free agent since November.

Hmm, that's an odd one. Wasn't exactly the best in the MLS and so stepping back up to the Championship will be a big ask, unless it's in a coaching aspect?

According to the BBC, it's to provide 'defensive cover'. I can't see him getting many minutes but is useful to have about as he's got plenty of experience.

Any idea what the fee is?

Grimsby have signed Simon Grayson's son on loan from Blackburn. No idea if he's any good but our manager has been good with his loan signings this season with Embleton from Sunderland and Hendrie from Shrewsbury (now permanently with us) really impressing so hopefully this lad can do some good!

Grimsby are losing Andrew Fox at the end of January as he moves to America to be with his wife. Apparently him and our manager have always had a gentlemen’s agreement that he be allowed to leave once his visa was sorted. Good guy and a good player. Best of luck to him.

It sounds like we are close to signing Harry Chapman from Boro on a permanent basis after he was on loan with us last season - he is likely to be loaned out to a L1 team for match fitness with a view to him coming back for pre-season and fighting for a place in the first team squad. Clearly a talent but career has been on hold due to injury. He is loved by the Rovers fans as he is the type of player that excites you and can make a huge impact off the bench when teams are tired. He is still very young and inexperienced but TM clearly rates him whereas Pulis hasn't given him a fair chance. He is out of contact at Boro this summer so the transfer fee will be minimal so its a win win situation for us as if he does go on to impress he will be worth a very decent amount.

Omar Bogle set to sign for Portsmouth from Cardiff. He's been on loan at Birmingham lately but hasn't played since December.

Would love to see him back at Grimsby one day. Wouldn't have minded seeing him at Sunderland either especially now Maja's gone to France.

We have just signed Norwich City’s Jaden Brisset into our B team. @Marc know anything about him?

Not a thing, sorry. Guessing this is part of your scrapping of the academy and signing players discarded by others? I'm guessing we told him we weren't going to renew his deal and if he could find another club he can leave.
