Ibrahim Afellay told to 'Stay Away' from Stoke City

Recommended Posts

Stoke City midfielder Ibrahim Afellay has been told to stay away from the club for the rest of the season by manager Paul Lambert, Sky Sports News has been told.

Lambert feels the former Netherlands international, who joined the club from Barcelona in the summer of 2015, is a bad influence on the rest of the squad.

What an utter waste of talent that guy has been.  He has betrayed himself, those who worked so hard with him in the youth setups in Holland and the clubs that subsequently paid his wages from there on.  He should be forced to pay everyone back and work in the youth setups from where he came from for free for the amount of time spent on him.

What exactly happened to him? I remember the hype surrounding him in his PSV days (looked quality) and thought he did well at Barca in his debut season.

Experienced success too early and lost the hunger?

The stories coming out about him at Stoke were exactly the same ones coming out while he was at Barça. Bad attitude and terrible discipline.
