Still, stranger things have happened and it wasn't like they weren't exerting pressure on Madrid at one point its just a shame they didn't convert any of those chances or the game might be a lot different to what it is. no. i disagree with you. before the match many people have said that it's going to be a close-game, maybe a scoreless draw or a 1-1 draw. but as we all saw last night, it's either Juventus was that bad or Real was that good. it depends on how much you hate or love Madrid. for me though, the first goal was better than the second. the angle in which he sent the ball was amazing. such a shame that juventus wasn't up to the task. too eager to get their "revenge" perhaps. It was certainly a wonderful goal. To be honest I don't know how people are able to say superb goals are better goals than other superb goals with such certainty. That of Ronaldo, well, bad defending from Juventus and he showboated and scored which helped them with the aggregate in this tie, thus giving cr7's a bigger credit .. i can't understand why a lot of people try to discredit the efforts of Ronaldo for his team. Give credit when credit is due.

Give credit when credit is due. i think a lot of credit has been given to him after last night's efforts, with both goals. And whenever else he's done something magical or miraculous which to be fair has been several times in his career. it's his previous attitude (which comes from his sheer determination and will to just try and be the best 100% of the time) which works against him. His strops, throwing his arms around like an angry child in a supermarket, having a go at players when they've scored because they didn't pass to him. His arrogance isn't a good trait to some, either. The way he celebrates makes it all about him. Of course, at times it is individual brilliance but some people don't like arrogance. He has the accolades to back it up so fair enough. But it's an attribute which rubs people up the wrong way at times.

I don't really understand what you're disagreeing with but my guess is that it has something to do with the end of what I said. I don't think this Juventus team was bad on its day and it was clear that they exerted superiority on the game after going one down in the first half. Like I said, there is no way Juve can come back from this now but we have seen stranger things happen and it all depends on the night. The way Ronaldo always seems to show up in the knockout stages of the CL is my reasoning behind saying that this tie is actually over but that doesn't mean that we may not get a turn in results when Juventus go to Madrid. That arrogance can also affect the game of Real Madrid as a team in a very bad way. When they started losing points in La Liga in the first half of the season and Ronaldo had his draught, he was visibly frustrated and overly tense, which resulted him getting in the way of his team mates because he would try to claim every ball for himself even if he was in a lousy position. Maybe that's just the flipside of having such a decisive player in your team,

The best overhead kick I've seen is still Rivaldo vs Valencia. He had to control it on his chest first, it was also outside the box, he had no space and it won a game in the last minute. It's got to be said that Ronaldo has become the perfect number 9. Barring the service is there, there is no real limits to how many he can score. This current Real Madrid system suits him to the ground since they are based largely on playing crosses into the box and he's an aerial specialist, probably the best the game has seen in this respect. Eco
Quote Three-match ban for Buffon Gianluigi Buffon has been handed a three-match ban for his conduct during and after Juventus’ Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid. Buffon was sent off for excessive dissent towards Michael Oliver after he took issue with the referee’s decision to award Madrid a stoppage-time penalty, which ultimately knocked Juve out of the Champions League and sent Los Blancos into the semi-finals. The goalkeeper then accused Oliver of acting like ‘an animal, with a bin for a heart’ in his post-match interview, for which he later apologised. A UEFA statement read: “The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to suspend the Juventus Football Club player Gianluigi Buffon for three (3) UEFA competition matches for which he would be otherwise eligible.” That would prevent the 40-year-old from appearing in Paris Saint-Germain’s first three Champions League games next season if he joins the French giants. But I suppose he deserves the ban because he should've known better and it was very uncharacteristic of him to blow up in that fashion. He's been party to various sensitive defeats in his career and this was just one more no matter how harsh he felt it seemed at the time. He's quite lucky to get away with only three games as a punishment to be honest.
