Everyone at the top has spent loads (granted you'd say Spurs are well behind some of them) and they actually have a side to show for it. They're on another level to Man Utd. It really does take something spectacular to make Sanchez, Lukaku, Pogba and Mata so utterly useless against this dreadful West Brom side. Not many could've pulled that out the bag. Had Pep masterminded a comeback from 2-0 down, it’s a masterclass in tactics. Mourinho does it and it’s a City capitulation with little to do with the manager. As far as I'm concerned the points are just a reflection of spending but the truth is that when you spend that amount on the players they've spent on, then you expect football resembling Liverpool or Man City (somewhere along those lines). I really have no idea why Mourinho wants to buy talented technical players when his football is based on rigid counter attacking stuff and defensive to the limits once a lead has been achieved.
