Salzburg´s dominated the possession and created some chances, but Marseille showed great attention to details and put a very solid defensive performance. The progress in the Europa League has really changed Marseille. At the beginning of the season they had some really bad, sloppy matches, but this is a different team now. Their players are showing great determination and fighting spirit. In that sense, it was a nice match to watch, because Salzburg also put a hell of a fight. Every ball was contested. In the end, the superior technical quality of players like Thauvin and Payet made the difference for OM. Also, Bouna Sarr had an amazing game. Man of the match, in my opinion.
