Karius was dreadful in the Roma game too and on numerous other occasions, concussion or not he is not good enough.

I was going to post something along those lines too... It's not as if Karius hasn't had mental games before... It isn't a shock to have seen him make mad errors.

Ultimately this is Klopp's fault where Karius and that other keeper is concerned and not the keepers themselves because this goalkeeping scenario was carried forward from the previous season.  One thing is having faith and another is being stupid.

I've had concussions before and I didn't realise straight away. Not all of them are 'seeing double'. Concussions are serious business, they should never be underestimated

When I got one I had no idea it was a concussion until a few days later and I wanted to know why the fuck my headache wouldn't go away and why I kept getting dizzy at random points in the day.

I do agree that regardless of whether Karius's concussion affected the game, one of our top priorities this season should be bringing in a top keeper because it's obviously one of the weaknesses in the side.

It’s a serious injury but it’s not a complex injury that requires you to be sent to the best hospital in the world, 10 days after the injury and also fly across the world to visit the hospital. I doubt a medical professional would advise flying to America to be diagnosed for concussion, going to the nearest hospital would probably be the best idea... actually Liverpool has the Walton centre (as I’m sure you know being a Liverpool supporter, I guess you regularly go to Liverpool). The Walton centre specialises in neurogoly , I believe. It’d also be remarkable that the Liverpool medical team weren’t able to diagnose concussion.

All seems very strange to me. Why wait? Why fly to America?

The doctor is keeping Henry happy

I agree concussion needs to be taken seriously in sport and in a perfect world a doctor should analyse anyone that receives a head injury, but it’s difficult with players often feigning injury.

Protecting investment and the player because him and his family were sent disgusting messages and threats by Liverpool supporters

i agree with you on this.

only in cases when people with special or unique illness that only a certain hospital has the facilities or specialist that can cure/take care of it will be a person be flown half way around the world.

concussion is serious, yes, but Liverpool is a giant football club, i'm sure they are capable of making this kind of diagnosis.

that's the very reason why many people ( such as myself ) don't wholly believe this story ...

@Dr. Gonzo

I think the medical staff should check any injured player mid match if they've taken a head collision. He was elbowed in the head twice that match he shouldn't have been allowed to keep playing.

that's the whole reason why i said karius is a bigger dick by continuing to play even he knew ( speculation ) that he is not feeling well ...

Apparently the expert is stating it as a "could have" not "definitely".

"People tend to associate the signs of concussion with a loss of consciousness or staggering around. But for many, concussion symptoms can quite easily be missed by the medical team, referees, team-mates and the player," Stewart tells BBC Sport.

Further down

"Football doesn't allow an interchange for a player to be assessed to see if he has a brain injury; doesn't allow significant time for the medics to assess the player; doesn't have a video review of events to be able say if there was a glancing blow on my goalkeeper's head which I didn't notice.

"It's unacceptable in 2018 that it should be this way."

Like I said before, the medical staff really should have been better equipped to stop him from playing and asked him to be subbed. Having said that I think that the tirade on social media is ridiculous. Ramos is just saying what he wants to say and tbf to him he's entitled to be whatever he wants to be in this situation. I hope that incidents like this which manifest days later get garner a second look at the obvious antiquated system in football so that players get pulled off instead of just 'dealing' with it and getting on with the game. Maybe the manager or the player wants to continue but that's pretty silly if you're going to end up days later with whatever new word they coin for a knock to the head.

Football doesn't only entertain us (this exempts Man Utd fans), but it also teaches us things. This season's lesson is making us all experts in concussions and how there aren't any hospitals in Europe that can deal with them. :ph34r:

Sergio Ramos ladies and gentlemen.

“Fuck, they’ve given this a lot of attention, the Salah thing. I didn’t want to talk about it because in the end it gets magnified, but looking closely at the play, he grabs my arm first and I fall the other way. He hurts his other arm, but then people are saying it was a judo move.”

“I talked with (Salah) through messages and he is doing really well,” Ramos said. “If he had (an injection) he even could have played in the second half. I’ve done it a few times. It wasn’t such a big deal, but it seems that when it’s Ramos who does something, it gets a little more attention.”

“Then the goalkeeper says he was dazed because of a collision with me,” Ramos said. “Next thing Firmino will say he had a cold because a drop of my sweat fell on him.”

What a legend.

We should sign Adebayo Akinfenwa in case we play them again any time soon. Obviously not for his footballing skill, but because he's fucking huge and it would be fantastic to see him beat seven shades of shit out Ramos.

Michael Edwards, make this happen.

@Dr. Gonzo

a better one, with another player as reference ..... this dude is a mountain hahahaha

Image result for Adebayo Akinfenwa

He's fucking huge. He's not very good at football lol - he's good at the level he plays at, which is at the bottom of the football league. But the man is an absolute beast. Massive (both figuratively and literally haha) LFC fan as well.

it would be funny to see him playing against Ramos, with a cross coming in and this mountain of a man Akin is boxing out Sergio.    Or he would do a similar move Ramos did to Salah on that cunt sergio, now that would be a definite career ending move hahahaha

I liked Ramos as a RB better

He could’ve been one of the greatest right-backs in the history of the game. He was that good in that position. Ironically it was Mourinho coupled with Ramos hounding him day and night, even appearing in Mourinho’s house uninvited that chaged the course of events for Ramos’ future. He was desperate to be a central defender due to his personal obsession with Franz Beckenbauer...

Sergio Ramos is a “player” in the grandest sense of the word. I have a personal profound dislike for his personality as I do with Gerard Piqué, but there’s no denying that he is more of a footballer than people give him credit for, including myself.
