Surely first time ever a manager has been given Manager of the Month and relegated on the same day?

That is a great shout xD

It's been an unfortunate set of circumstances this season. They seemed to have a good recruitment policy in the summer, and I don't blame the fans for wanting a change in personel mid November given the ten months of abject performances. How were they to know their owners would be wooed by Pardew? A man who could brag about furthering Pulis' last team for 12 months and hiding how dross the other 12 were.

Time for Burke, Phillips, Rodriguez etc to step up next season. I don't think their current leaders have much left in the tank.

Let's be frank here, everyone has wanted them to drop the last few seasons for being such a negative, boring side. Good riddance and quite frankly, well deserved.

Now they have an opportunity to change the image of their club to something more positive.

Never liked WBA, but it's a shame that Moore didn't get a chance to fight until the last day. Southampton has a decent team, should have never put themselves in this situation. Hope Swansea joins Stoke and WBA

West Brom's chief executive, Mark Jenkins, has vowed the club will "learn from mistakes" and targets an immediate return to the Premier League.

suppose that's better than saying they'd like to stay in the Championship for a few years xD

You could argue it puts unnessecary pressure on the next manager given the age of the squad and changes needed. Fans should be expecting a heavy investment now.

hmm, not sure it's unnecessary.

There's always going to be pressure and an expectancy for any relegated club in to the Championship to get out of it at the first time of asking, just not the way Sunderland go.
