Not having this piss taking. On homes under the hammer today Croydon was described as an: "up and coming area in the suburbs of London with great transport links and a unique urban vibrance".

Bet they managed to flog a run-down three-bed semi for three quarters of a million as well. The old adage really is apt: 'Money doesn't always buy class'.

What does he get by this?  Can he just walk about with his dick out and has permission to put it in anything he wants?

I know that when Shearer was given freedom of Newcastle it meant he can rear his cattle on the town moor xD

You think they might have updated the terms and conditions of The Freedom of... bit by now so it had a bit more relevance to modern times.. Something along the lines of you have the right to walk around Croydon without the risk of being held up at knife point by kids on mopeds trying to steal your watch or mobile phone..

Unfortunately that happens all over London these days mate. Although I think Croydon are famous in the sense that all of that is the first place it started.
