He is a dribbling midfield carrier, something that just will never work for Barcelona. He definitely isn´t a DM, too. Ciao Mário shouldn´t be anywhere near the team, if Gomes isn´t. ASF 279 Posted May 18, 2018 Share Posted May 18, 2018 Some positives and negatives about this squad. Positives: The main core that won the Euro is there. Added by the presence of Bernardo, who missed the tournament in France due to an injury. Offensively, we look better on paper this time around. Negatives: 3 of our 4 CB's are too old. The other one is too young, with no experience at this level. Some players who were key two years ago are unfit (Adrien, Raphael). The Sporting players will, no doubt, be affected with what his happening at their club. I think we are perfectly capable of doing a very good tournament. As European champions, we have no excuse to be knocked out before the QF's. Our defense, which has been our best sector in the last years, is not quite as good this time and, in a short tournament, any mistake will cost you greatly.
