Spain

I was looking at Messi and Ronaldo's honours lists and what was interesting yet also completely obvious was that in the last 10 years Real Madrid have won 2 league titles, with Atletico winning 1 and Barce winning 7. Currently Real Madrid sit ahead of Barce with the most amount of league title wins with 33 compared to Barce's 25. But if you were to go back just ten years, Real Madrid would still have had a staggering 31 league titles to their names whilst Barce only would have had 18.

England

If you look in England Liverpool were obviously the biggest club in England historically up until around the 90s and that's when United starting turning a corner. Liverpool had 18 league titles to their name and yet United only had 7. Then came Sir Alex Ferguson and he managed to win 13 league titles, now United are undoubtedly the biggest club in England having won 2 more league titles and 5 more FA Cups. Liverpool leading with 2 more European Cup.Champions League titles but really the argument can't be made.

Then comes the fact that Liverpool haven't won a major competition in 12 years and haven't won a league title in 28 years. Not trying to take the piss but that's a long time for a club to go without a league win, and we take the piss out of Arsenal. Arsenal have never been a era specific side in modern history, Liverpool dominated the 70s and 80s, United dominated the 90s and 2000s. Arsenal were dominant in the 1930s and that has probably summed them up in that they have had small bursts of success separated by the sporadic trophy win, 1930s, late 90s/early 200s and late whatever the fuck 2010-2020 is called.

Italy

If you look at Serie A Juventus currently have 34 titles and their nearest competition are AC Milan and Inter Milan who both have 18 league titles. It's a bit different in Italy where Juventus have historically been the biggest side throughout their history, but before they went on this 7 league title wins in a row run both the Milan clubs were only 10 league titles off them, hardly inconceivable that they could claw it back considering what Barce have done to Madrid's lead. What's crazy about Juve is for all their success they've only won 2 European Cups...yet AC Milan have 7 and even Inter have 3.
