SirBalon
I still can't believe both Holland and Italy aren't at the World Cup. But whereas you can see something big brewing for the Netherlands in the future, the Italy situation is more confusing.

Well our youth team looks quality now coming through, it will just take time for them to get experience. Its still a problem though that talent is been bought again by big clubs like last week, Arnuat Groenveld a talented winger from NEC, Man City will sign him soon and then loan him out to their partner club Nac Breda. Also Man City signed a PSV talent Jayden Braaf, again they will probably loan him out. Kluivert is close to sign for Roma also from Ajax for about 30-40 million. Administrator Stan Posted June 4, 2018 Administrator Share Posted June 4, 2018 Ake as LWB and no out-and-out striker? Interesting options if so. Do Netherlands have the quality going forward to not play with a striker?

Well Promes is a striker/Winder just isnt a target man to what Holland have had in the past like a Kluivert or Van Nistelrooy. Ake has played left wing back before and was very good, he has good delivery, the problem is the 3 central defenders are quality so its hard to leave any of them out, other wise it be a 4 3

Eco
Lovely play there from the Italians, only to end with poor finishing. Italians look the much better team thus far.
Eco
0-0 at Half-time. Italy clearly the better team. Too many stupid offsides and the Dutch clearing a ball off the line are the only reasons this is scoreless thus far.
Eco
What in the world just happened? My wife calls so I answer and talk for 5 minutes. Italy score a goal AND get a red card in that span.
Eco
Highly impressed with Mattia in this game. I didn't watch him much this year, but his positioning seems to be very good and the defense in general is keeping the Dutch from excellent chances. Eco
And the Dutch tie it up thanks to horrendous marking and a great cross. I never understand how you can leave someone unmarked in the middle of the box on a cross. Unreal.
Eco
Dutch are pushing hard for the winner. Have had 2 great chances since they tied it up.
Panna King
Much better 2nd half from Holland and maybe could of won it. Berghuis made the difference when he came on.
Eco
1-1 Good result. Game completely changed with the red card. I would say Italy was in much control until that moment.
