Group A is pretty much settled with Iran already through and South Korea will be the other while Uzbekistan will making it to the next round

Group B is right in balance. Australia vs Japan and UAE vs Saudi Arabia are the stand out fixtures. Results of both games will effect all these teams

Japan 1-0 Australia HT- Japan looked more attacking and deserved to be in front although i think the Australian defense is to blame for the goal

Yep. Japan are a tough match up for us. Man for many they are far superior but we do seem to punch above our weight with them on average.

Japan are a thrilling side tactically. That play just now to gather as many men possible before performing an overlap to a man completely open due to gathering the others to mark, was an excellent play that would have been a tactical golazo.

Australia were better in the first, but Japan far better in the second. Either way I think Australia are in, all they need to do now really is thrash Thailand which is very possible.

If they lose this then they would have to see Saudis because they are behind on goal difference lose to Japan and its not easy betting the Arab teams on their own turf and Japan might not field their toughest side if they win against Australia

Australia if they win 4-0 against Thailand are more than likely in directly. Not saying its a guarantee but its very possible!

They drew them last time. Thailand hasn't lost a single game 4-0 yet

I will state again, its very possible but not a guarantee.

Japan should be in Russia now. 2-0 and what a goal to potentially seal it.

Australia should at least be happy with a 2-1, that way the goal difference pressure remains on Saudi Arabia.
