I know all football fans are the same but I'll carry on what I was going to say in the other thread anyway which is that I can't wait to see whether Sarri goes from exactly what Chelsea need today to either a shit manager in 6 months or a legend in 12 months followed by a crybaby who needs to get out of the club in 2-3 years' time.

Does he even speak English? lol

Yes, fluent actually. From his days as an accountant.

The vast contrast of Sarri and Conte

Sarri
I talk with our Sporting Director once a week, but he can do whatever he wants. I’m an unusual coach, I don’t care about the transfer market.

And that’s why he’s so important to Chelsea, he fits their sporting model. The coach at Chelsea is only expected to do that. Anything else is considered outside of their remit. I don’t think anyone can be remotely surprised Conte got the hoof. Least of all, him. He’s been waiting around for his payout

Couldn't be more spot on. It will be interesting, I'm really not sure which way this will go but I'm sure it will be up and down.

Chelsea will win the league next year then survive relegation the season after by one point with a drogba goal that deflects of his walk aid and sarri will be sacked

I like that you envision Chelsea being so bad they bring Drogba out of retirement in desperation.

I actually want to see Sarri do well at Chelsea and the culture of the club to change. That won’t happen, but I hope it does... just with us doing even more well if possible.

I think it’s good for the league to have the big clubs looking to play attractive football while still being ambitious. If Chelsea can use Sarri as a foundation to build for that in the future, that’s only good for the league.

He's won fuck all and other candidates like Luis Enrique or even Laurent Blanc would be more suited on paper and more Chelsea's usual style appointment. Although at this point, it's looking like City will have a run of dominance which will span at least 2 more seasons you'd think. Chelsea going back to that idea of beautiful football the owner wanted from day one and laying the ground work with Sarri's playing style seems like the right move, whilst United go for instant success against the City machine, it looks as if Chelsea are going in the opposite direction, but in a strategic way.

Beautiful football fucked us in the arse every single time, the stylish MMA style of football and parking the bus brought us titles.

Top 10 finish it is :D

Ancelotti disagrees. We had our most successful season to date playing attractive football.

True even tough we didn't cruise to the title, winning the title on a single point on the last day. However agreed it was a great season scoring for fun, plus the first ever double.

What happened to Conte? Did he leave like a loser? Believe it or not last summer I was begging him to sign for Inter. Still prefer him over Spaletti. He would also be good in Italy's national team again.

He cut off his nose in spite of his face, and revealed to the football world his managerial weakness, which in fairness, some had already warned us of the day he took over at Chelsea.

I'd argue he has more value.

Great engine, can intercept balls for days and his reading of the game from deeper positions is invaluable. However, with Jorginho now pushing him further upfield, other sides of his game will now be tested, he always looked a little uncomfortable in front of goal and delivering that killer pass, so should be interesting to see how things pan out. Either way, I think it can only be good for Chelsea if such a valuable player maybe isn't that indispensable in Sarri's system.

But he has never been a 'deep' player though. He is a midfield aggressor that presses and tackles. He has the best defensive skills in the world but he isn't an anchor.

To put it more simply, the positions I saw him in during the highlights of Huddersfield (albeit not much to go on aha) he looked uncomfortable higher up, I feel there are more 'specialised' players for this and that Kante's role with Conte is what suited him.

Just a hunch anyway, time will tell...
