Just a reminder again here that @CaaC (John) didn't even take part in the first three rounds . @Viva la FCB retains top spot despite a pointless Ligue 1 round while @DeadLinesman also remains firmly in the mix. 3 points for @Pyfish in the most recent round see him go clear of part-timers @Eco and @Batard at the other end of the table. 6 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He now goes into what could be the final round as the overwhelming favourite to reclaim the league title he won in the 2018-19 season, with his closest competitors @...Dan and @Mel81x likely needing to win the Portuguese iteration outright to have a chance of stealing top spot. Consistency won out this season, with @Viva la FCB surviving long enough to bag bonus points in all but one round, on that occasion falling victim to the infamous Marseille Massacre of Round 5. @Mel81x climbs to 2nd place with his win in Round Seven having been the runner-up in three other rounds this year, the same amount as 3rd-placed @...Dan, who couldn't quite overhaul the league leader and fell just short of claiming a win of his own. @CaaC (John) would have been right in the mix if he'd taken part in the first two Gameweeks, the only man to win multiple rounds this season, he also gained 2 extra points from Round 3 which I had somehow overlooked at the time - this has now been amended. A special mention too to @Rucksackfranzose who picked up the biggest single points haul this season with his six correct picks delivering him victory in the Eredivisie's Round 6. As for the other end of the table, @Batard's one week cameo in the Premier League edition sees him lead the field in 'points per round' - quit while you're ahead, I suppose! Meanwhile @Pyfish and @Stan suffer the ignominy of finishing joint last, of those players who took part in every round. Thanks to everyone for taking part once again, it's a bumper table this season with so many people taking part in at least one round - a total of 27 entrants! It's also worth noting that we only had time for five rounds this season and didn't need to dabble in Portugal or the Netherlands like we have in the past, reflecting the much higher standard of picking and the longer runs our round winners were able to put together. As for the title battle itself, it was neck and neck between @Bluewolf and @Michael but it's the Chelsea fan's consistency that wins out. @Michael narrowly beat @Bluewolf in the English, German and Spanish rounds and they cancelled each other out in the decider in France, but his non-score in Italy (Atalanta 1-4 Roma in Gameweek One) in a round that his title rival won ultimately sees him miss out by one point! Honourable mentions as well to @Storts who completes the top three and @Rucksackfranzose who bagged the biggest points haul of the season of 12 in La Liga. 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
