Who were the 3 musicians that died in the plane crash that Don McClean sang about in the song American Pie, which he referred to as "the day the music died"?

Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the third guy whose name I can never remember...

My dad was born there and the amount of times I've looked at Kenya on a map and Nairobi specifically stands out for me. The square borders/coastlines always I find weird (but the more I think about them, it's quite logical).

Revelation of the day! You don't look sub-Saharan though.

Is there some sort of relation between Kenya and India? In highschool I knew 2 Indians who had sub-saharan roots as well. 1 of them being Kenya particularly!

Physically that would only affect the colour of your skin, but you look way more Indian than Kenyan.

Yeah, many Indians made the crossing over from Indian sub-continent to Africa (especially Kenya and Uganda) mainly for work prospects. Labourers, factory-workers, engineering etc - those skills were sought after and utilised in 50s/60s just before & after Kenya gained their independence. The other big thing being that when Idi Amin came to rule, he wanted to exclude all Asians from Uganda in early 70s. This prompted mass migration to UK (hence many Indians making the journey in 70s) because there were riots and uprising against hundreds of thousands of Asians who had settled there and many of whom had succeeded and made a good life there, happily before Amin came long.

That's why in places like Leicester, Birmingham, London (I'd guess those being the main 3 places, possibly Leeds/Bradford as well) there's heavy Indian population and you'll find many came over in the 70s again looking for work and better life.

The answer is Zoroastrianism

Mazda is the creator and sole God of Zoroastrianism. Ahura Mazda is the highest spirit of worship in Zoroastrianism, along with being the first and most frequently invoked spirit

Which musical artist had the most US top 30 hits in the 20th century?

And for a bonus point how many songs, to the nearest 10.

If it's linked to the album question I did earlier, I'd guess The Eagles.
