Danny 2,200 Posted July 29, 2018 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Brentford apparently signing centre back Jean Jeanvier from Stade de Reims for €2m, their fans seem upset he's leaving, especially for us, and that the fee is €2m and not €10m. The Palace Fan 3,400 Posted July 30, 2018 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Brentford have signed defender Julian Jeanvier from Reims on a four-year contract, subject to international clearance. The 26-year-old centre-back completed his medical on Monday and is a direct replacement for John Egan, who joined Sheffield United earlier this month. The transfer fee is undisclosed but Sky sources say Jeanvier cost the Bees £1.8m. The club have the option to extend his contract for another year. Danny 2,200 Posted July 30, 2018 Author Share Posted July 30, 2018 He's been in the team of the season two years running in Ligue 2 I believe, won promotion to Ligue 1 as well. Looking forward to seeing him, glad we have him as we now have depth. Between Mepham, Barbet, Konsa and now Jeanvier we have a solid group of centre backs and to be honest I'd like to think we've strengthened on what we had with Egan and Bjelland.
